Visited the Wine Goddess for the first time after being introduced by a date and am in love. It’s my favourite wine bar to sip and read at. The vibe is always cozy, the drinks are superb and the staff is always kind. Looking forward to my next return.🥂

I've been looking forward to try this wine store in Evanston every time I drive down the Main Street, and I finally did. They have an impressive selection of wines from around the world that will surely suit every palate. The inviting atmosphere of this place , cozy up with a glass of your favorite wine and indulging a cheese and meat plate makes my visit worthwhile. The added bonus of a thoughtful beer list and few cocktails means there's something for everyone. The service is great, with knowledgeable staff happy to guide you through the wine list or offer pairing suggestions. This is now added to my list of favorite spots in Evanston.

The spirit of "Evanston" is alive and well every time I walk in there. Don't be an idiot and go to a big box liquor store. Take it from me, the most biased person on the planet.

They don’t tell you that if you buy from the fridge you can’t drink at the restaurant. But then throw a fit with you when you do. It’s not like I didn’t just spend $30 on drinks at a restaurant. The male waiter needs to chill out. Rententive to the absolute max.I don’t understand why/what the difference between getting one of these and ordering off the menu at the table since they don’t care about that.It’s just a level of pretentiousness that wasn’t really needed like I know it’s a wine place but you don’t have to be snobby about it. Especially when Evanston 1st sells all this stuff for a quarter the price.Edit: you are right 2 stars was going to far and being too generous I’m sure this now singular Star will shine better.Evanston 1st has 4packs of the vodka splash for $11.99 you sell single cans of it for $4 it’s a WAY WAY WAY BETTER DEAL STUPID.

This shop is an anchor of the community in every sense of that word. Every customer is treated like a regular from the moment they walk in, and those that are true regulars are treated as family. The staff are deeply knowledgeable and fundamentally relatable, a combination that is hard to find, particularly in wine. That we are recognized by the folks at Wine Goddess is a point of pride in our lives that we are overjoyed to share with friends and family. This review may seem overzealous but it is, if anything, understating the quality of this store and its wonderful staff.
