My very first time trying U Taco and it was amazing. I recommend the Birria Tacos! 🌮
Classic street taco place really good. Only one in Evanston that I know of. Had the Al pastor which were fantastic!
I got the birria tacos and they were fire 10/10 the rice was not the best not eneough flavor and I got the steak burrito which was huge. Overally decent but def not the best Mexican food I’ve tried in evanston

U TACO is a new spot in Evanston with a small, modern, super clean space. The restaurant offers tacos with a lot of meat, basic tacos of cilantro and onion, and special tacos with cheese or added guacamole. The quesabirria tacos are very tasty, and the birria tacos are fire. Other menu items include the steak burrito, which is huge, the Bowl Steak Rice & Taco Steak, and a chicken burrito dinner with rice and beans. There is a good chunk of breakfast foods with chilaquiles and breakfast burritos, plus full size plates and appetizers. The staff is super friendly and they offer 3 types of salsa stored in a mini fridge and free iced water. Homemade desserts include tres leches and flan. The salsas are great, especially the habanero, and the horchata is perfect. The food is delicious and the wide choices are great. U TACO is highly recommended.
