Penn Station East Coast Subs

I really enjoy your chicken Philly. I get it with Swiss cheese grilled onions and lettuce. But it seems when we get it to go they forget the lettuce.

Recently moved and tried penn station subs due to us not having one in our last area. The subs are to die for. I haven’t thought about another sub place since I’ve had them. Would recommended to everyone to try at least once.

Food is not that bad but I was dealing with a grouchy person while taking an order from me.

A petite young black lady working the register was clean and professional.
Another lady working fries got up from playing with her phone, put gloves on, no washing of hands or anything.
I Dont know where the cook came from putting on gloves without hand washing either! The food was good. Service is subpar these days. Fries all under machine, dirty and etc… I already struggle to eat out. What is going on in the world? My main point for

The food was excellent. The lady working the register told me they didn't have fries. Then I walked over to fill my drink and they were cooking fries and bagging them up. So I asked for fries again and she told me they were out again. Then the guy cooking them said it's okay he can have some and gave me fries. The place was really dirty. My clothes stuck to the seat when I sat down and my arms stuck to the table.

I ordered and paid for extra everything on my sandwich and that’s not what I got. I still had the sandwich and the receipt and the GM asked if I could come up there at the moment and I explained that I could not because of the distance and I was going to deal with the disappointment of not getting what I paid extra for. But something last minute came up causing me to drive back to Fairview heights. I called back when I was in the area 3 hours later and spoke to the same GM about the order I called about earlier to see if I could just get the one sandwich remade like he had offered, he told me no because I wasn’t able to come when he first offered but that was 20 minutes away and didn’t want to waste the gas just for that 1 messed up sandwich. I didn’t think I’d be heading back that way that same day but once something came up and I had to head back to the Fairview heights area I didn’t see the problem asking if the offer still was standing. I had the sandwich and the receipt but I didn’t think my offer would be rejected and so rudely at that. As someone who worked in management for fast food for 3 years I didn’t think seeing if the offer could still be carried out just 3 hours later was rude especially considering the way I asked. Very disappointed with that. Hope the attitude gets fixed next time if I return.

The new staff is completely unprofessional. The dummy with the headphones in is useless. They didn’t give me my fries. When I asked for them they asked me for a receipt that they never gave me. This place needs to close. Just look at their public health record violations.

I'm from Philly this place is great because it's a greasy hole in the wall. It reminds me of Steve' Prince of Steaks or better. These guys make authentic philly cheese steaks, What do you expect? A salad?
