Finally tried Tailwinds in Findlay, IL. Just a short drive into town from Lake Shelbyville. Been open since 1987. One of the newer owners was there as the chef last night. Tim was more than happy to show off his cool space. It’s spotless. Used to be a bank ? The old vault is now the refrigerated beer cooler. Gabby was our bartender & server. Amaazing food! The whole experience from start to finish was great. Our waitress was friendly and efficient. The food was delicious and the prices are fair for the portion size. Always a great spot to get great food. We enjoyed the walleye. I noticed chicken was a popular choice for many people in the restaurant so I’m thinking about trying it next time.

The food was good, but the guy standing behind the bar couldn't help our server with drinks? What's with that?! The young lady who was our server was excellent and had a lot of tables to serve.
