We love to go to CARLOS AND CARLOS in wilmette, we live in Matteson. We are looking for a good Italian restaurant near by .so we stop in SORRISO. For the first time .we did not know we needed a reservation. So we said ok. And today I called 8 times to make a reservation and NOBODY PICKED UP THE phone ...what a shame I will continue to drive 1 hour and 1/2 . To go to CARLOS AND CARLOS IN WILMETTE..... IAM VERRY DISAPPOINTED....

The Pasta dishes here are incredible. They have a conscientious and Friendly Staff who provide superior, Service. We will definitely return to try other dishes at this gem of a Italian Restaurant.

It is wise to make a reservation for most evenings. The service is always friendly. We had a baked shrimp dinner that came with risotto and green veggies - excellent. And my dish was the steak special. It was breaded then covered with cheese and sitting in a tomato sauce. It can with broccoli and tortellini. Also delicious. While the meals are not cheap the quality is very high. Also, we had enough food to take home for a full dinner the next night. We have been to Sorrisos 6 or 7 times over the years. Always very good to excellent!

Pretty disappointing service and food, other than then the cheese bread. We gave it a try after over a year. The hostess was outstanding though.

Great friendly service, great food, good atmosphere. Hard to believe this place is in a strip mall. Never had a bad experience here! Portions are generous.

We really enjoyed our experience! Portions were very generous and all of the food was flavorful. Service is top notch! Word to the wise: Don't judge the rest of the food by the bread. It's a little too dense and not our favorite but everything else more than makes up for it. We've dined in several times and are always surprised it's not booked solid because the food and service are both so good. Guessing it's probably the location in the strip mall that's a little hard to get into off 30 just east of Lagrange. You can't tell there's parking in the back from the street either.

We haven't dined here in 10 months an WOW, what a difference. Our reservations were at 5:30 for a birthday celebration. They open at 4 and we were served martinis in rock glasses which we thought was odd....You just opened. The food was so so. for the price , I don't think the food was worth the price. I was told they have new owners and it shows. I highly doubt we will be back. Very disappointed.

The food is amazing but will never be back again the this place has hostile vibes both times we were there, our service the the first time was amazing but the second time we went we were disappointed in the service our server did not seem like she wanted to attend us . We had a table that was uncomfortable tipping over and tilting rotating all of the above. when we address the issue the server sarcastically told us that the table was that way because we were making it do the things it was doing and said smartly and sarcastically what do you want me to do. Did not want to make a big deal because it was my birthday dinner, but it kind of ruined the birthday vibe for me towards the end they close at 9 and by 8:30 they were practically running us out of the restaurant. While the table was being bussed by what seemed to be the manager he was aggressively snatching things . It is what it is, not for certain but my heart tells me I should pull the race card on this one

We've eaten there before and loved it so went back last evening. Prices are so reasonable; great food and cocktails and the service was impeccable. I would recommend it highly!

Food was good; generous serving sizes. For these prices, toss in a dinner salad or a coup of soup. Service was mediocre - often times, I felt they forgot about us.

We really enjoyed our evening out to celebrate our dear friends birthday. The cocktails were great, and Mark, our server, was phenomenal. We love the pork chops and peppers, the lasagna, and the Bolognese. We will be back again.

From the Moment We walked in We felt that They were glad We chose Them for Our Sunday night Dinner. We were sat immediately even though We were a little bit early. Our Server was Absolutely Perfect ! ! Explained the Menu. Asked if We wanted any assistance in making Our choices. Yet not at all Pushy. She knew exactly when to suggest or guide Us. The Food was Outstanding. From the Soup , Salad, Main Course, thru the Desserts. We loved everything. Huge portions. Great seasoning. Loved My Pork Chops Vesuvio. She recommended the Lemon Cake 🍰 and it was incredible. Great Service, Food, and Value. We will be Regulars.
