Came into Galena (a little road weary and early for our check in) looking for lunch. We were looking at the menus at the DeSoto House eateries when we got a snobbish look from one of the diners inside. NOT THE PLACE FOR US! Went across the street and found Embe and are glad we did. This place has a laid back vibe that I really like. We each ordered a pint, a cup of soup and we shared a sandwich. Beer was cold, soups were excellent and the sandwich was good. My only complaint (which is minor) is that our Cuban was not pressed. Other than that, everything was excellent, especially the service. Highly recommended. We'll definitely be back when we're in the area.

Stopped in for a quick lunch with entire family. Food was delicious and well priced. Service was even better. I think my family or I interacted with every single staff member during our short visit, and every single one of them made us want to come back. They were overly polite im accommodating my 2 and 5 year old who had been out walking Main Street in the hot sun. Absolutely stellar.
The corned beet brisket sandwich and blue cheese soup are out of this world! Mary does a great job. A must stop for your visit.

This was my first time in Galena, I tired every place and while I loved all of them..Embe was my absolute FAVORITE. The food is amazing, the entire staff is super inviting and friendly. The place is clean and the price is right! I didn’t get a chance to go for drinks later in the day but I will DEFINITELY be back to visit when I’m back in Galena, please give this place a try! It’s worth it
