“My wife and I went for lunch and WOW what a pleasant surprise. I ordered the Memphis BBQ sandwich which comes with two sides. My sides were coleslaw and potato salad. My wife ordered the pulled pork sandwich with two sides which were baked beans and coleslaw. This was the best BBQ sandwich I have had in years and even out does Memphis Tn BBQ joints. I don’t know how Sullivan got so lucky to get this place but hopefully they will support it so that it can survive. They are only open Thursday Friday and Saturday so give them a try, trust me you will not be disappointed.”

“I recently hired La Luna’s to cater my Son‘s celebration of life event. This restaurant is amazing, the food is fabulous. Everyone was so impressed by how delicious it was. The kindness and compassion shown to me by Amanda the owner was something I will never forget, she took away so much stress on the worst day of my life. no matter what you need them for they are excellent to work with. These places are rare, its not a hole in the wall, its a gift to Mattoon that needs to be supported by lots of hungry people eager to explore a healthy meal that costs less than a boring burger (yes they are great but cummon, try something new and this place will have you hooked on your first meal).
The Pad Cee Eu, yellow curry, are fantastic...we are making the trek over there from Shelbyville and our goal is to work through the entire menu one meal at a time...they are ALL yummy!!!”

“I went to see my favorite band, Van Waylon Band perform. When I heard they were going to be here I made sure to go see them. They have a new bass player and he also sings. So now this band has 5 singers. Wow, most other bands have one or maybe two. They also had a guest singer, Josie Dial. Now this gal has a set of pipes. Do yourself a favor and check out the video I took of her performance. As always the band was fantastic and put on an awesome show. I sure hope they can play here again sometime, and bring that young gal too. This was my first visit to Hager 18 and this place is so cool. The stage is huge and there was plenty of places to sit. While watching the band the wait staff made sure everyone had cold drinks available. I need to tell you about this...There were 2 options for restrooms here. One inside and one on the outside. Other bars should take note. Whoever set this place up really knows their stuff. I will be going back whenever I can. By the way the food was Great!”

“We had the buffet. I am very selective when I order fried chicken at restaurants. I love fried chicken and The Villa has the best friend chicken I have ever eaten. Hats off to the person in charge of frying the chicken. I won't mention his name, but he is the best at fixing wonderful friend chicken. My only complaint is I wish the fried chicken was available every day. We will definitely be back many more times in the future.”
