High-quality tasty food and friendly servers make this a favorite place. Talented chefs at the cooking tables. Plenty of free parking. Popular for birthdays and can get crowded, so consider reservations.

This unassuming little place was quite the surprise! Looking for something new, our first trip here did not disappoint. Attentive service, good selection of items to choose from, and great flavors. What really put things over the top was the nice little extra attention to detail. The sushi rolls were fresh, the Gyoza was awesome, the sauce that came with the Katsu Chicken was amazing - and even the shredded cabbage on the side was great! We are already planning our next visit.

We have been here before and had a nice entertaining night.
But at an establishment where we will be spending +$35.00 a plate I do not expect to find cases of restaurant supplies stacked in the entry vestibule.
Hibachi grills are fun but they require regular deep steam cleaning of the hood and grill. The wooden bar area needs to be sanded and refinished on a regular basis.
Sorry probably not coming back unless things get cleaned up.

Enjoyed the meal very much. Shared a single meal (sushi and teriyaki) between the two of us had spring roll appetizer too. Was plenty but in full disclosure we can often order a single dish and bring some home for lunch the next day.

First visit upon recommendation of a friend for lunch. Great little spot with friendly and welcoming employees. Great lunch menu with reasonable prices. Food tasted super fresh and portion sizes were generous. You could easily get two meals out of a lunch order. I didn't, it was so good that I cleaned my plate and skipped dinner that night instead!
Parking: The restaurant is in the middle of a strip mall. There is plenty free parking available.
Kid-friendliness: Kids are welcome here, chefs will entertain them.
Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible.

We often celebrate our birthdays by eating at Jurin in Geneva. It's fun watching them prepare the meal at the table. Last night we told our server that we had two birthdays & she asked when exactly the birthdays were. We told her that they were both the day before (4/12) and offered to show her their id's. She told us that it was a restaurant policy to only celebrate one birthday per table. It was awkward and painful excluding one of the birthday people and put a damper on the mood. The server also didn't offer a rose or initiate singing Happy Birthday so we just started singing it amongst ourselves. We paid for eight meals and drinks (over $300 for the dinner). We went there thinking that we'd have a good time but left feeling disappointed by the server's cold manner.

My family had been looking forward to celebrating my son's 17th birthday at JuRin in Geneva, IL. However, our experience with the restaurant left us thoroughly disappointed and frustrated. We made a reservation for 11 people a week in advance, specifically mentioning that it was for a birthday celebration and confirming our preference to be seated together at one table. Upon arrival at JuRin, we were made to wait for about 10 minutes before being led to a table that was clearly insufficient for our group size. Despite our reservation and prior confirmation, the host attempted to seat us at a table meant for 8 people at most. When my husband raised concerns about the cramped seating arrangement, the host simply reiterated that we had confirmed our preference for one table over the phone. However, the lack of clarity during the reservation process led to a misunderstanding, as we did not expect to be squeezed into a table clearly inadequate for our group.Despite our protests and the obvious discomfort that would arise from such a setup, the host showed no flexibility or willingness to accommodate our party with a larger table. Disheartened by the lack of consideration and customer service, we made the decision to leave the restaurant. As a result of this disappointing experience, we have no intention of returning to JuRin. It's unfortunate that what was meant to be a joyous celebration turned into a frustrating ordeal due to the restaurant's mishandling of our reservation and seating arrangements. We would caution others to clarify seating arrangements thoroughly when making reservations at JuRin to avoid similar disappointments.Overall, our experience at JuRin was marred by poor communication, inflexibility, and a lack of customer-centric service. We will be seeking alternative venues for future celebrations.
