***partial update: James (Director of Ops) reached out and we had a great conversation. He listened first and shared how my concerns were going to be addressed. I look forward to going back and updating my review accordingly.***

I would have emailed directly, but there is no way to contact the business, outside of calling. Nor was a manager present (no, we didn't ask) So, the review will go here.

We did enjoy coming B.L., however service sucks. I'm not sure why Jocelyn is working in the service industry, especially when it is obvious she doesn't want to be there.
She was barley present for taking the order. No checking to see if the food was ok, no asking for a refill of drinks... I asked for salt and pepper but no follow up to see if we needed anything else. Complete disconnect and lack of personality unless she was chatting with the bartender, who seems to enjoy being there.

Not surprised there were only 5-6 tables besides us. There are plenty of other places in the area that we could spend $50 on lunch (without cocktails), that offer better service.

Does anyone actually read these anymore?

Visiting from Florida and recommended to come here. The restaurant atmosphere is inviting and cozy while the high ceilings really open up the space. It was really hard to choose what to order because it all looked delicious. I went with the chipotle chicken sandwich and fries. The pretzel bun was a great touch. While the sandwich was a bit tall to get everything in one bite, the flavors were complimentary of each other and were absolutely delicious! The Mac and cheese is an excellent option as a side too!!

When paying 15-18 dollars for a burger, it should be edible. I often add salt to foods, so I like things in the salty side, but my-even my husband’s burger was too salty. (He eats most things without complaint, but barely got through 1/2 of his.) It’s like it was encrusted with salt! Even the toppings on it-short ribs, were too salty. I ate 1/4 of mine-later that night I couldn’t get enough water. Not sure what happened, but their food was very nice a few weeks ago.

Enjoyed our mid-afternoon "lunch" while shopping in the area.

My husband liked the Beyond Local Burger, which can be ordered fully vegan. He substituted regular cheddar cheese for the vegan cheese; no additional charge.

I really liked the Falafel Burger. Large, thick patty that is crispy and delicious. I had the tomato and avocado on the side ~ and still worked hard to take a bite because the sandwich is so thick! Loved the combination of tzatziki sauce, feta, and pickled onions. Fries were served while still hot.

Our server checked in twice: once right after our order was delivered; and once to bring our bill. It would be helpful to have one more check-in midway through the meal; we needed more napkins and I would have appreciated a drink refill. Otherwise, courteous and efficient service.

As others have noted, the music is edgy and loud. With the live acoustics of the space, it definitely makes it hard to carry on a conversation.

Vegetarian options: Two vegetarian hot sandwiches (falafel; Beyond burger), plus multiple hearty vegetarian salads. Beyond burger comes as a vegan choice.

Very disappointed with restaurant. Onion rings like rubber, (pre cooked?), chicken on salad tough , (pre cooked also ?) 9 $ for a bottle of beer!

While the burgers are The Burger Local are top notch, I kind of went off the board and got this Tater Tot poutine like dish off the starter menu for lunch. It was amazing. Had there really big Tater Tots at the bottom topped with a slightly spicy queso, caramelized onions and parmesan cheese. Then it has some short rib on top of that. Man was it satisfying. For a starter, I could not even finish it and I ended up bringing home 2 of the tots covered in all the toppings. Then the next day I had it for breakfast with a couple eggs. Awesome!

Parking: There is plenty of parking in downtown Geneva but you might need to walk a block or 2 to get to the restaurant as it is at the end (or the beginning I guess) of the main street in y the tracks that all the shops are on.

The food was great, but the staff could have been a little more friendly and visited the table more often. We were pretty much done with our meal before they came back to refill drinks, etc. Granted, it was really busy, but it was a little excessive. That being said, I would go back, but preferably when it's not quite as busy. I expect we would get better service then.

First time guest. Atmosphere was casual with a long bar with several tvs showing various national sports. My BBQ burger was perfectly prepared however my fries were slightly soggy so I wasn’t able to finish them all. The burgers are really big so come hungry.
It was difficult to carry a conversation over the mood music and overall loudness of the restaurant. If you’re looking for an intimate date setting I would pick somewhere else.
I noticed a wide variety of customers include young families.
Didn’t see any dessert items however they got a wide range of appetizers.

Always a great experience at the burger local! I tried out the falafel burger and really enjoyed it - I would not recommend the onion rings though. The pretzel bites and jalepeño poppers were delicious as starters.

Great burger place, I had the wagyu beef burger. It came with bacon and a fried egg on top. It was amazing. The yoke pops after the first bite, letting the world know, that burger is poppin. Fries were good too fresh cut, lightly seasoned. Prices were also reasonable about $25 per adult, friendly staff as well.

The short rib burger was great. The onion rings had a ton of batter, and I think they might be the best I've ever had. The only gripe I had was that our server was nowhere to be found after the food was served, so I had to get a drink from the bar. I will definitely be back.

Burger was delicious as well as the fries. Everything was cooked very well. My waited was fine she was nice! However the red haired girl who greeted me when I went in seemed to have an issue when I asked her if I could sit in the patio. Which was a bummer cause their staff is polite but she kind of stared at me and made me feel dumb. Food was great though.

Our first time there. I had the classic patty melt. It was pretty good, but I prefer a higher cheese to meat ratio than their version. The french fries were ok. The service was top notch.
