We love preservation, the food is always good! Iris does such a nice job taking care of us. It's odd to eat outside in the cold months, but they make it comfortable and natural. It's definitely a favorite spot! Highly recommend ? ?
One of our favorite eateries. Great flavor, unique twists of ingredients. Food freshly made. Service outstanding. Fun, relaxing atmosphere especially in the outside patio area. Easy access. Free parking. Convenient location on Third Street near the Metra station. Put 4 of 5 stars on food because one of our favorite appetizers, the falafel, is no longer on the menu.

We sat on the patio on a cold day. The heaters helped, but we needed to keep our coats on. It looks like a great space for warmer weather. Excellent Ruben sandwich ranked 8.5/10. Got a cup of delicious French onion soup for $2.50 with the sandwich, ranked 10/10 for that price. Overall, I'd give Preservation an 8/10, which would be higher if it wasn't so chilly on the partially enclosed patio. The cold hastened our departure. I'll definitely be back when it warms up!
