“My family had the most amazing experience at The James on 8/21/24 for my mother’s birthday❤️ I called earlier that day to discuss her severe food allergies and restrictions and spoke to the chef Steve who is amazing! He is knowledgeable and went above and beyond! He offered to make her fresh mashed potatoes and she asked if they had sweet potatoes. He stated no, but he’d run out and get her one. I told him he didn’t have to do that but he insisted stating it wasn’t a big deal! He also made her a birthday dessert that she could eat and came out to our table to deliver her food!! I was so impressed by his thoughtfulness and the food was absolutely delicious! Thank you Steve and thank you Geno the server for taking such good care of a high maintenance table.
