“Service was awful! Our server, Joselyn, slammed down the glasses of water 5 minutes after we were seated, took our order and never saw her again until she slammed the bill down at our table. We saw her for a total of 3 minutes in the 45 minutes we were there. Unfortunately for Joselyn, her tip reflected her poor service. I tip 20-25% for good service, she lost out and made the restaurant less desirable to return. However, the burger was juicy and delicious, the macaroni and cheese was outstanding!“

The owner always makes it a point to come out and greet all the customers, truly just a warm and inviting experience. “Small family Easter brunch that was exceptional! Menu was full of wonderful traditions and thoughtful new dishes that we all (from 29 to 85 years old) were able to enjoy. Our server Kai was very professional and offered great suggestions. Our dishes were so plentiful we shared bites and it became an impromptu tasting. The ambience is always perfect and this sunny morning with a river view table was the best ever. Many thanks for such a memorable meal and such great service.“

My son has special needs and they were so great with him. At the end of the dinner when they could see I was struggling a bit with my son, one server came to me and said, “don’t worry mama, we got you.” So kind. “Walrus Room is a solid five star restaurant. Table service is fantastic. Our server knew the menu inside and out, provided useful recommendations and was very attentive without being pesty. Starting with the appetizers four of us had Shrimp DeJohgne, the Burrata, Curds and Chorizo Mussels. All very very good. From their extensive lists the ladies had wine and I had bourbon. For dinner we ordered the walleye on rice, Amish roast chicken and the prime steak frites. All really good although maybe the entrees were a bit salty. We ordered too much food and drink so the nearly five hundred dollar bill was our fault. Great service, fantastic atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back.“

“The staff have been really rude to me ever since I pointed out that my tab was wrong and I was overcharged. I wasn't upset about the double charges, I just wanted them corrected. I've barely been waited on since then it seems. I tried to step in a help once when a patron had been over served. It wasn't welcomed at all. I was given the same look as I get when I walk up to the bar to get a drink. Too bad, it's really close to home to me. I haven't been in over a year and have no plans on returning.“

“So food was okay... I got buffalo dip and it wasnt the best.. wasnt the worst.
Service: everyone got thier food but the only child... who ordered a grilled cheese and was lied to about why we never got it. Thats frustrating. Just take accountability and admit you missed it. I would take that over lies..
Atmosphere was loud and crowded. Employees standing around while trash was everywhere and tables were dirty. Just personally wasnt for me.
Not to be a Karen I still gave it a 4* because 1 they were busy. Aces in places. I get that. Cleaning can be done at the end. Waitress was over worked with tables. So of course she would miss something. And thats fine. [She also remembered my lemon so yay!] Food it wasnt bad... should of tried something else .. my bad.“
