“Limited menu done right. Portions are small but prepared with care. Always consistent. Shy away from the calamari friti. I’ve had it a few times and hoped it would get better . Barely any shrimp the “ piece. Contained are small and few as is the actual squid. Loaded with veggies instead. Not a value or good choice! The twin medallions of beef are delicious but not substantial. The white fish is the best dish on the mine!“

“Riganato played host to a wonderful 90th birthday luncheon for my Mother (from nearby St. Charles) in their back room this past Sunday afternoon, with just enough capacity for 24 people.

Food was excellent, as expected, from sandwiches and pizza to outstanding fish entrees, menu specials, and pastas. Service was very attentive and kind. No extra fees or surprises whatsoever.

Highly recommended for your special events, and general family-friendly, high-quality dining at reasonable prices.“

“Loved everything about our visit to Penrose Brewing. The beer selection was fantastic, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the bartenders were friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely enjoyable to chat with.

“Such a great pub venue. Our server, Tyler, went out of his way to welcome us. The menu is extensive. The beer list has both rotating taps and craft beer options. They offer cocktails, spirits and wine as well as N/A options. The food is outstanding. I had the ginormous wings. Others ordered mini burger sliders and Etouffe. Both liked there dishes. This is a place we will go back to. We watched the World Cup soccer game without feeling bombarded by TVs.“

My son has special needs and they were so great with him. At the end of the dinner when they could see I was struggling a bit with my son, one server came to me and said, “don’t worry mama, we got you.” So kind. “My granddaughter brought me to Gia Mia for my birthday. Food was excellent and the service was beyond excellent…very attentive to detail and everyone was very pleasant. “Service was awful! Our server, Joselyn, slammed down the glasses of water 5 minutes after we were seated, took our order and never saw her again until she slammed the bill down at our table. We saw her for a total of 3 minutes in the 45 minutes we were there. Unfortunately for Joselyn, her tip reflected her poor service. I tip 20-25% for good service, she lost out and made the restaurant less desirable to return. However, the burger was juicy and delicious, the macaroni and cheese was outstanding!“

“Walrus Room is a solid five star restaurant. Table service is fantastic. Our server knew the menu inside and out, provided useful recommendations and was very attentive without being pesty. Starting with the appetizers four of us had Shrimp DeJohgne, the Burrata, Curds and Chorizo Mussels. All very very good. From their extensive lists the ladies had wine and I had bourbon. For dinner we ordered the walleye on rice, Amish roast chicken and the prime steak frites. All really good although maybe the entrees were a bit salty. We ordered too much food and drink so the nearly five hundred dollar bill was our fault. Great service, fantastic atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back.“

“Just my opinion, but I think they have the best pizza in the trinity area. While the pizza prices may seem a tad higher than the competition, it’s well worth as the put more cheese and toppings than most of their competition, so you need feeer pieces. It’s always very clean, and the husband wife owners are both very nice.“

I loved the portrait on the wall of the Thai military dude. Great ambience. It had a cigar and some whiskey under it to comfort him in the afterlife. Please do the same for me when I go.“

“Rating this place is difficult because I love BBQ and I’ve been searching for a good one for awhile. The first time coming here (take out) was fantastic. Plenty of food, good prices, good service, and delicious food. The second time (dine -in) following a few months was not the same. Food was not all that tasty and Mac & cheese is always spicy regardless requesting without spice. It just didn’t hit the same. I do enjoy this place and want to visit a third but unsure if it’ll be like loving my first visit or settling like my second visit. Regardless, I still believe this might be one of the best BBQ place in the suburbs, which coming from is says a lot. I have had plenty of ribs from plenty of places!“
