“Walrus Room is a solid five star restaurant. Table service is fantastic. Our server knew the menu inside and out, provided useful recommendations and was very attentive without being pesty. Starting with the appetizers four of us had Shrimp DeJohgne, the Burrata, Curds and Chorizo Mussels. All very very good. From their extensive lists the ladies had wine and I had bourbon. For dinner we ordered the walleye on rice, Amish roast chicken and the prime steak frites. All really good although maybe the entrees were a bit salty. We ordered too much food and drink so the nearly five hundred dollar bill was our fault. Great service, fantastic atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back.“

“We tried TOB last evening for the first time because my neighbor recommended this place very highly. We were blown away at how friendly the owner is, how cool this place is, and HOW DELICIOUS THE FOOD IS!!! We were told to try the clam chowder and anything with jammy bacon. We tried both things and both were so good! This place reminds me of the TV program, Cheers, because it’s very easy to talk with people; we can’t wait to go back next month :-)“

“Went last night reserved a party of 6 but another friend showed up and Anthony the owner accommodated us. We ordered half the menu including the star of the show being the tomahawk steak. We shared all items buffet style sampling all dishes. Everything was excellent and everyone in the party was thoroughly impressed!“

“Found this place on Google maps as we were driving to Chicago and decided to make a dinner stop. I'm so glad we did! The chargrilled oysters were a delicious reminder of our hometown. The Mozzarella sticks & fried pickles were the perfectly cooked (cheese & pickles all still inside; no just breading bites). The pub burger was amazing as well! You can't go wrong with a stop here! Also, our waitress, Maia, was fantastic!“

“Went to Black Pepper Lounge for the first time last night. I got to eat Kerala food that I haven't had since we visited my family in Kerala 13 years ago and it was delicious! I loved getting a chance to share this with my friends and family. We'll definitely be back!“

“We stopped in for lunch on a Saturday for our first visit. Food was great. The spicy chicken sandwich (with a fantastic sauce) and the tacos were excellent. The beer is outstanding, I mean they have it going on here. Alter has many different styles on tap, and we enjoyed everything we sampled over the course of two flights. We bought some to go as well. They have a great location by the river, and we enjoyed talking with the friendly staff. We will definitely be back.“

“The Alchemist is quite simply fantastic. I can’t think of anyplace where you can get better seafood. So many cocktail bars offer drinks with great names but with no pizzazz when it come to the taste. All of The Alchemist’s cocktails have pizzazz, and if you don’t see something you want, have the bartender mix something up for you on the spot!“
