“Barrelman's Room is my go-to place on a Friday or Saturday night when I want delicious cocktails and cozy ambiance so I can actually talk to my friends & hear each other. It's usually pretty easy to get a table, the staff is helpful with recommendations and I love the "secret" feel of it. I recommend it to anyone who wants a night out without a long line or wait. You won't be disappointed!“

“Stayed at the doubletree hotel and was very pleasantly surprised how great the food was at Osteria Italian restaurant. We dined here two nights in a row because it was so delicious. Julio our waiter was very attentive and friendly. Made our first evening at the restaurant memorable. I ordered the eggplant parmigiana and Caesar salad. It was wonderful. I had plenty of leftovers and can’t wait to enjoy the other half when I get home. My husband ordered rigatoni with chicken and the soup of the day. He had plenty left over for another meal also. Had two Tiramisu martinis and unfortunately ran out of room for dessert. The second night we sat in the bar for happy hour. Joey, the manager remembered us and made us feel like we were friends dining at his home. Handsome gentleman and incredibly friendly. Tony the bartender managed a full bar of people yet was very available to take our order. Happy hour is a great deal with $7 martinis and affordable large appetizers. Luckily we saved room to share a piece of Tiramisu. Absolutely divine. Can’t wait for our next visit to Chicago to dine here again. Highly recommended.“

“Food and service are both excellent. Greeted with a smile, food is made to order, so no microwaved dish......I had chicken/shrimp fajitas the first visit and they were DELICIOUS!! Went back second time with a relative, got the shrimp diablo......should have taken the server's advice about the heat, but I didn't, therefore I suffered 🥲 the consequence......she was awesome though and had the heat taken down for me. Owner came out to greet guests and was super sweet. This place is a hidden jewel that has some of the best Mexican food in the area. I would say take my word for it, but being that you probably don't know me, don't take my word for it, go try it for yourself!!“

“The wife and I went back to the old neighborhood to visit somebody at the hospital driving around we found modern plate. We figure we’d give it a try. There is no doubt in my mind that this place eventually will be a five star restaurant. The food was phenomenal service atmosphere But I will tell you this much. Don’t go there with your good. Looks thinking you’re gonna buy something bring your cash, but it’s well worth it. The wife and I cannot wait to go back to try something else.“

We even got a complimentary meal from the Executive Chef so he didn’t waste the plate after taking pictures of his new special. To say the food was amazing is an understatement. Exposed brick, chandeliers, and a plant wall surrounds you - a grateful reprieve from cookie cutter Starbucks decor. Coffee, matcha, and baked goods are top notch (haven't tried cocktails or charcuterie yet). A wonderful mix of professionals, college students, community organizers, and socially conscious suburban moms escaping the kids (I'm sure I'm missing wonderful others). Sometimes I'm not sure how I manage to keep living in the suburbs when the city is still home for me after 10 years in Elmhurst, but Brewpoint certainly makes it easier.“

“My wife and I watched the bears vs packers game. Great atmosphere and fun time watching the game. However, BOTH bathrooms had issues and one urinal overflowed causing a mess. When the game was over and we left, we were blocked in by someone who made up a parking spot in the back of the lot. Multiple people made up spots all over the lot. When I addressed the issue with the front desk and spoke with the manager, they did nothing and said to call the police. It is not up to the customer to manage your property. I thought it was a joke of a response when a concern was raised.“

“1st visit to MK Steak and we were very impressed. We were seated right away and started with wine and cocktails ( spicy Bees Knees was awesome!). Our server, Chelsea, was knowledgeable, friendly and tentative. Atmosphere was lively but not loud. Both our entrees were cooked to perfection. My husband, who knows his steaks, was pleasantly surprised to hear the steaks are from Meats by Linz. His steak was amazing- great flavor. I had the scallops, which were also very good. The baked French Onion soup was hot and cheese was nicely browned. We were too full for dessert but saw a few being served. So wish I had saved room! We will be back!“

The staff was very welcoming and helpful with the menu. The limon margarita definitely helped me relax and the amazing Birria tacos had me dancing in my chair!! Also snagged some Al Pastor tacos for their Wednesday menu deal! It was an amazing lunch that barely dented the wallet, will absolutely be back here (despite my traffic anxieties)“

“Had the best experience dining here with coworkers. Jess was our server and was warm and welcoming, offering suggestions and pairings, and had the beat timing- we never felt rushed or interrupted. The martinis and crafted cocktails were as delicious as they were beautiful. Appetizers were delicious and the portion size was great- don't miss the brussel sprouts! Now the sushi... wow- creative and meticulously prepared rolls and sashimi with a menu that has something for everyone-- and the vegan options are incredible! Can't wait to come back. “Everything was absolutely delicious. Thank you, Luis, for the excellent service. I wouldn’t recommend the tacos, but the pizza, burger, and salad we ordered were all very delicious.

There was just one issue — the host’s attitude. She initially tried to seat us with our children in a corner near the kitchen. We asked for a different table, but she insisted there was no other space for strollers. In the end, we found a suitable spot ourselves and were able to sit comfortably with our strollers.“
