“Limited menu done right. Portions are small but prepared with care. Always consistent. Shy away from the calamari friti. I’ve had it a few times and hoped it would get better . Barely any shrimp the “ piece. Contained are small and few as is the actual squid. Loaded with veggies instead. Not a value or good choice! The twin medallions of beef are delicious but not substantial. The white fish is the best dish on the mine!“

“The food is amazing but the service is top notch! I went here recently with my mom who needed accommodations due to recent surgeries and they went above and beyond making her feel welcome even when she wasn't quite confident dining out yet. They were SO accommodating with the menu and made us feel right at home. The hostess was so sweet; we were so appreciative! & the food was delicious! I loved my chicken kebabs and we both loved the lemon chicken soup! Plus the lunch specials are huge portions at such a fair price! We will definitely be returning!“

“My husband and I had our 1st meal inside the restaurant. We’d dined on the patio several times. We loved the ambiance inside. We began with the burrata appetizer-outstanding. I opted for the lamb chop special and my husband had the misto de mare, both were delicious. To finish our wonderful dinner, we had the lemoncello and mascarpone cake. Scrumptious!“

“My granddaughter brought me to Gia Mia for my birthday. Food was excellent and the service was beyond excellent…very attentive to detail and everyone was very pleasant. From appetizer to dessert, it was wonderful. Hopefully I can celebrate my 80th birthday at Gia Mia next year. Maybe a small party💕 thank you Gia Mia for a great birthday dinner. “My husband and I owned a mobile Hot Dog Stand I ran it in Northwest Indiana. I sold Bari Beef Sandwiches. I was famous for my Beef sandwiches . I have and will always swear by Bari Beef!!!! We have moved all over the country the last 9 years and just moved to Bartlett Illinois. I just found out I live only 9.8 miles from Bari factory store …… I think I have died and gone to Heaven!!! On a side note. I had a deal for all new customers who questioned whether I had the best beef sandwiches. “Dined before a concert in the Arcada Theatre with another couple on half price food Thursday night. We tried several of the ravioli dinners and all were delicious, especially the short rib ravioli. So good! The servers were very attentive and friendly. Drinks were also great! Highly recommend as the restaurant is very comfortable and the decor is fantastic.“

“My family took me to Piccolo Bucco for my birthday and we all liked it.

We sat in their 4 season patio area, we went at 3pm and it was the perfect time to sit and enjoy each others company with out it being packed and we did not feel rushed. At night I imagine it’s much more romantic as they had lights on the ceiling with vines and lemons. Cute set up!

We had 6 people-
I made reservations online- no wait-they were very accommodating with moving a chair and having us close to the door bc I’m in a wheelchair and it can get tricky with aisles etc.

Spicy calamari was good
We tried the fried stuffed squash blossom and those who tried it really liked it.
They have 2 flavors of slushie sangria right now
Peach and passion fruit
We liked the peach, didn’t try the other one

They do have bread but it is more like a warm flat bread- we had 6 people and only got 5 pieces and it was not complimentary. It was ok - we liked the spicy dipping sauce it came with
We didn’t try any pizza this time but we are definitely going to next time.
I tried their Cacio e Pepe and it was good, there’s a lot of pepper (big part of the dish)
The start of the show- all 6 of us agreed- chicken Parmesan is excellent
Rigatoni alla spicy vodka sauce with sausage - it’s the last item on the left side of the menu-very good! Under entrees

I got a free gelato since it was my bday and I chose the chocolate hazelnut and it was so good! Even had a few crunchy nuts and a biscotti

The table shared a piece of chocolate hazelnut cake and that was very delicious

The set up was nice, great place for a date, family dinner, business lunch- I think just about any reason to meet up- this place is great!

You could totally split a pizza or an entree if you were looking to spend a little less money.

They also offer wine flights, wine tasting (like at Cooper’s hawk)

There’s an outside area between this place and Ruths Chris steak house. It’s a public area so no alcoholic drinks are allowed but it’s a great place to sit on a nice day - they had chairs, benches and a few Adirondack chairs

All together we give it an 8/10 and plan to go again!“

“This place is a hidden gem! I went in with my family, was greeted by a young lady named Andrea, very young and sweet. Had my 2 kids with me and she was absolutely amazing to them! Made sure she answered all of my kids silly questions. She was extremely busy and still had a big smile on her face. She seems to have a lot of experience working here with the way she answered everyone’s questions! The food was absolutely amazing and although the wait was a little long it ended up being worth it! Definitely a great place to stop by with your family!“

“Nuovo Italia has always been a restaurant we’ve really enjoyed, and we’ve had a lot of great experiences here over the years. We recently came back with a couple of our friends and, while we still had a good experience overall, it felt a little different from what we’ve been used to.

The food was still very good, and the restaurant itself has the same great look and feel. The main thing we noticed was that the service and overall atmosphere didn’t seem quite as attentive or welcoming as we remembered from previous visits.

We know the restaurant has recently changed ownership, so hopefully this was just an off night or part of a transition period. We’ve always enjoyed coming here and hope the overall experience gets back to what we’ve come to expect.

Overall, the food is still great and Nuovo Italia is absolutely a place we’d recommend. Our most recent experience was probably around a 7/10, but still a solid four stars. We’ll definitely be back!“

“Disappointing. Have given this place a few tries, but last night was the last. Ordered a sausage pizza and there literally was 1 piece of sausage per slice on majority of the slices of pizza. Some slices actually had no sausage. Plus it was dry. Lifted up the cheese and there was barely any sauce. And, end pieces had no cheese. Took a pick when it was mostly gone....we were hungry so ate in anyways. We were very disappointed. A bad night maybe ? They weren't busy at all, no one inside.
