When I lived in Wheaton and Glen Ellyn in the 1960s and 1970s, there weren't any restaurants that rated reviews. Not to my knowledge. McDonald's on Roosevelt Road was the most popular gathering place in the community. Things have changed. Today, there are several go-to restaurants in the area. My friends and I really are enjoyed ourselves. I had the burger which was pretty solid. Everyone seemed to like what they had. My friend had the zucchini fries which were like super thin and she thought they were fantastic. I would have preferred if they were more more like chunks than fries. If we lived in the neighborhood we definitely would go there a lot.
We celebrated our anniversary here last night and were served by Gail. She was lovely. She recommended the beignets for dessert and went so far to include some of her favorite sauces to pair with them. She made our experience more enjoyable - and she was totally right about the sauces. :)
