Service was late or nonexistent most of the evening. Food arrived late and was lukewarm warm. Wont return.
Excellent restaurant with great options for everyone including those who need gluten free options. Food and service were great.
Interesting beer and wine selections and the food dishes all had a unique twist. The sauce for the firecracker shrimp was delicious and the macaroni and cheese was very good. The pork and short rib sliders were very flavorful. Our waiter Dusty was very attentive. We will be back.
We love this place! Great food with attentive and friendly service. The smash burger special was excellent!
As always, Glen Prairie did not disappoint. We love the great food, ambiance, and the service. Edna is simply lovely and so friendly and helpful. Tonight we had an early dinner- my husband and I shared the magnificent onion rings. I had the smash burger and it was so delicious. My husband had the cream of asparagus soup, and he said it was great. We will be back again!
Everything was great. Great food and atmosphere . If anyone in your party is Gluten Free this is the place to go. Almost all the items on the menu are gf or can be made gf, even breaded and fried items.
Everything was wonderful. Two in our party of four have gluten allergies and the staff happily walked us through the menu and the many options and variety of choices. Our waitress Edna was very helpful and attentive and we all really enjoyed our food and the ambiance. Glen Prairie is a new favorite spot for us and we will definitely be back agin!
For the price, we have had much better meals at other local restaurants which was too bad because we had high hopes for this restaurant.
After a week of travel for this Mom, the last thing I wanted to do was to make dinner. This isn't the first time we've been to Glen Prairie and I knew it was just the place I wanted to go. The atmosphere is warm, but quiet. Perfect for a good family catchup. The food is comforting without being too heavy and the wine, beer and cocktail selection is the perfect pairing. We've had the pleasure of being served by Anna a few times now and she does a great job. She is attentive and watchful, without being overbearing which is a difficult skill to master for a lot of servers. Aside from that, I love that it is a safe place for folks with food allergies and I feel very well taken care of in respect to that issue. I can tell that everyone from the hosts to the servers to the bartenders to the kitchen staff are very well trained in creating a safe and welcoming experience for each guest. Glen Prairie is quickly becoming one of our go to family favorite restaurants and we will definitely be back!
I ordered a wedge salad and a cheeseburger. The salad arrived with warm, rather than fresh, tomatoes, which detracted from the crispness of the dish. As for the burger, despite requesting it medium-well, it was served undercooked, with the center still visibly bloody. After sending it back to the kitchen, it unfortunately returned overcooked and burnt, further diminishing the dining experience.

This is an update. We had dinner tonight at Glen Prairie, and it was apparent from the moment we were seated that there was a change in management, as was confirmed by our server. The food seemed lifeless, the asparagus tough and fibrous and cold, the fries limp and anemic and cold, the chicken tough and stringy, the avocado oxidized and brown, and over all there was a lack of attention to detail and passion for food that was once the signature of this establishment. Avoid.
Had dinner for the first time at Glen Prairie, after living in the neighborhood for five years. Outstanding from soup to nuts. The service was engaged and informed. knowing the ins and outs of the menu, assisting and suggesting but never pushing upgrades or rushing to turn over the table. This lies in stark contrast to the indifference and ignorance found among many servers at other local restaurants who seem like they would rather scramble back to the beverage station and check their Tik Tok account. The music was subdued and pleasant and complimented the table talk, versus most restaurants which play contemporary pop or hip hop at a deafening volume, distracting the guest from the taste and smells and textures of the food and interfering with conversation. (The American public cannot tolerate silence, neither when dining, shopping, or working out at the fitness center.) The food was a quantum leap level most restaurants pretending to be of the same caliber, the rib eye and the ribs were tender and tasty, the vegetables cooked al dente perfection, and the portion were 'Goldilocks', neither microscopic, looking like speck on a plate, not the size a manhole cover, and we left sated and satisfied, not stuffed and somnolent.
