Served with rice and beans. I ate much of the rice 😋, a small bit of beans and only had room for 1 taco! Tomorrow’s lunch! We’ve eaten here several times before. Allows delicious and decor is also very nice!“

“I like Whiskey Girl! We can watch the WNBA and Unrivaled there with the sound ON. The food is good, and the folks who work there are very sweet. One person was particularly welcoming to us, we later found out that was the owner!

Parking: there is a lot in the back with a few free spaces if you can get there early!“

“The owner Jeremy is a true artisan. He's a guy from the industry who is experimenting and loving his life. This place is creative, wholesome, organic, and real. Amazing atmosphere for a date, getting together with friends, or just to hang.“

“First time eating at Greenwood. The food was very good. We ordered calamari, which tasted unique in a good way, with the chopped marinated veggies. The beef filet was melt in your mouth tender. The only complaint is it was too salty. Brussels sprouts were also delicious.

The old fashion and manhattan were well made. It was a nice touch that the waiter asked us what bourbon or whiskey we wanted them made with.

We reserved in the dining room and the hostess could not find our reservation. We offered to show it to her, and she said no need , then put us at the very corner of the patio which was noisy, with uncomfortable chairs. For the first 15 min there was no one on the patio of in the restaurant. We couldn’t hear each other over the street traffic.

“Carrie is their co-owner and her passion for their business is evident in their engagement in the community. They have several events a month to invite adults of many interests and backgrounds. The Skokie Chamber recently had an event at Take Flight and there were only positive remarks about the ambiance, atmosphere, location, and drinks served. She was an excellent cocktail coach explaining how to make delicious cocktails with their in house distilled liquor. PLUS- t *think* you can bring food in from @Village Inn around the corner! You guys at Take Flight deserve the growth you dream of after the perseverance you endured through your opening with COVID. “Went to a reunion at 28 Mile and found the place to be really nice. The apps are good for what they served and the pizza was also good.

“On the evening of July 5 my wife and I tried Avaspi on Belmont Avenue in Lakeview for the first time. It will not be the last! I love lamb and am quite particular as to how is it prepared. The “lamb delight” menu item was the best lamb I have ever had in a restaurant: tender, succulent, and prepared to perfection. The side salad accompanying it was not your ordinary side salad! My wife and I both enjoyed the Mixed Meze appetizer plate. Each of the five items was quite good but the muhammara was to die for. We ended our meal with tea, baklava and kubralice. The décor and ambience were refreshing and relaxing, and the service was outstanding. The pricing was very reasonable. Please give it a try. We do not think you will be disappointed.“

“We stopped in Alma in the evening for a few rounds of drinks after dinner. We've been here a few times before and always seem to like it. The drinks and wine options are pretty good. There's a ton of space which we like too. The service was lackluster though. We sat for awhile before our server came by; he eventually came over and took our drink order but wasn't that friendly. We had to flag him down for our other rounds. The ambience of the space itself is pretty good, but the music was just a little too loud for a hotel bar. We'll go back again, but there is room for improvements.“

“This family operated eatery was a great place to meet friends for quiet conservation. It would be a great date place as well. They will customize your order on request (one of our gang was. It about cilantro 🙄), a fresh mint herbal tea, and lechon (pork) with rice and plantains was mixed and matched for us. My arroz con pollo was delivered late as a chicken paella but very tasty nonetheless. They did not charge due to late arrival. The only weak spot was the Cuban sandwich - just not enough meat. So very friendly and informal…and almost a five star. We will be back!“

“I awoke this morning, filled with regret and resentment. I nearly stayed under my supple, cozy sheets. Yet, I prevailed. I stumbled upon this Elegant establishment. I needed something greasy and practical for a hangover. I also needed to watch the Minnesota gophers beat up Rutgers (do they even have a mascot)? I ordered the double smash burger, and went to work. The service was quick, very quick, which made me believe the burger would be subpar. My first bite awoke me. I was so back. Every following taste left me with childlike joy, much like a young Jack Slunecka frolicking through the South Dakota prairies. I can not recommend this establishment more. Thank you Parlay, not only for giving me strength. But, giving me the motivation to carry on, and make the world a better place. I Love you so so much.“

“I first want to note that I went when this venue was presenting miseltoe the pop-up bar. This place was a lot of fun to go to, and the staff that I interacted with was very kind, and we had a few good conversations with them. The drinks that I had were simply amazing, especially the gingerbread milk punch. Friendly and smiley bartenders. Cute martini glass but could not really taste the alcohol. Some interesting characters at the casino in general, but more so here sitting at the bar. There are game machines on the bar top as well.“

“This is a cute, tiny little bar tucked into the lobby of an apartment building. The bar itself has a shockingly classic trendy dive bar atmosphere. Drinks are a little pricy, but the cocktails are fantastic, unique, and quite strong. There are few seats in the bar itself, but the lobby of the building has couches where it seems you can bring your drinks out and lounge. The building is dog friendly, so the bar seems to be as well. I brought my dog. The lobby was a bit brighter and less sexy than the bar, but still a nice place to hang out. They were playing a football game on a projector in the lobby but without sound so it didn’t disrupt the vibe. The bartender was really friendly and apparently he came up with one of the really good cocktails. The bathrooms in the lobby are gendered, but they share a sink area. I didn’t see any single-user or nongendered bathrooms.“

You could be a wook bopping to drum and bass in the back patio, all the while having a romantic drink with a date here and it all works.

“This is a review for Nightshade. To get there, you go to the back of Moonflower then through the unmarked black door to the right and downstairs. There are two rooms - one for music/ dancing and the other with small tables for drinks. The night I went the music room wasn’t open (guess you have to know when it’s club night). A bit bare bones in terms of furniture/ atmosphere. But, the drinks were EXCELLENT. Not a huge selection but the table I was with ordered about four different drinks from the specialty menu and they were all better than I was expecting.

Though the downstairs is designed for drinking I saw people eating from the menu upstairs so apparently you can do that.“

“The concept for the menu is a unique trip along the Pan-American highway with stops at various Latin countries. Each dish and drink is thoughtful in its ingredients and presentation. The jicama salad was refreshing, but not at all plain. The pastel de choclo was a wonderful surprise of a warm dish. The frozen el arenal was seriously dangerous in how delicious it was, I can’t recommend it enough. The atmosphere was beautiful and the music was perfect. We are so thrilled to have this gem in the neighborhood and can’t wait to see what they do in the future!“
