Great place! I was with a group of first-time Koren BBQ-ers and the staff were very helpful in guiding my group with how to order and what to expect. We were able to enjoy a variety of dishes and were pleased with all of them. They also had KPop videos playing on big screen throught the restaurant which I loved.

For the price, the portion is reasonable but the food is incredibly oily. Side dishes are super small so they’re always constantly taking away the side dishes away while eating. I’ve been to many places for gopchang and I understand that it is naturally oily, but the grease is unfathomable, to the point you don’t want to eat it. The stew is 100% better and is so good! The corn cheese was flavorless.. first time leaving a corn cheese empty.

Me and my boyfriend have been to Gopchang Story seven or eight times now, and every visit has been excellent. The grilled beef small intestine, beef tartare, cold noodles, fried rice, and beef bone soup are all delicious. The food is consistently high quality, and we honestly think this is the best Korean restaurant in the area. The restaurant is very clean, and the staff are always friendly and attentive. Highly recommend!

Gopchang was delicious. I felt like the dipping sauce was the main reason that made it taste better. Gopchang quality was good but can be improved more :)

I went back after 1year. A year ago, I had Gopchang hotpot.
I ordered Gopchang hot pot again.
It had more Daechang than Gopchang in a soup. It’s suppose to be Gopchang only in a soup. Disappointed.

Restaurantji Recommends
Cozy restaurant with a great overlook across the intersection of the Glenbrook area. Its entrance is to the right/South of the BurgerFi entrance. There's a staircase and an elevator by the doorway for ease of access to the restaurant.
The lunch there doesn't quite compare as favorably to Chicago Galbi House from my experience, as their menu recommendations are in line with some of the more expensive offerings, but WYSIWYG. Though there were not many patrons in the restaurant at the time, service felt fairly lax. I ordered an LA Galbi and received a bowl of rice with some soup with a decent amount of sweetened short ribs to cut up and enjoy.
The banchan has cabbage with some spicy peppers, the sweet fish cake, store-baught kimchi, and some fresh bean sprouts to the right.

Food quality I believe is good, but doesn’t like it too oily and not much favorable. The sauce / seasoning they provided to dip the bbq meat also not tasty. The sesame oil are also too much, I wish they just provide me plain sea salt and black pepper.
