Kyoto Garden Modern Japanese Restaurant

I ordered from you for the first time yesterday. The AAC roll was inedible as the asparagus was practically raw and stringy, the salad had 2 leaves of lettuce and some dressing, the yaki soba was rubbery, even the ginger was so tough I could not chew it. So sad.

We love good Japanese food, and we've been to perhaps six other Japanese restaurants in the area, some very good. None, however, was as good as Kyoto Garden. The ambiance was clean, comfortable, and quiet; the service was impeccable; the menu was extensive; and the food was great.

(I was particularly pleased at the availability and quality of a personal favorite: ikura sushi with quail egg!)

We look forwrd to returning soon.

We came for late lunch on weekday and enjoyed delicious and pretty sushi and an appetizer spring roll. The sushi was top fresh and very tasty. The service was friendly. A return restaurant, for sure.

This place was wonderful! Food is fantastic, atmosphere is classy, everything is reasonably priced. Our server Michelle was kind, attentive, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable about all the items on the menu. THEY HAVE GLUTEN FREE (almost) EVERYTHING! Even their tempura batter is gluten free. And you can’t tell in the flavor because everything is delicious. Their patio is dog friendly and the staff even brought out two bowls of water for them. A wonderful first experience and this will become a regular spot!

The service was so friendly and excellent! The food... pretty stellar, what we had. So fresh, so crispy, creamy, flavorful, and completely mouthwatering.

Kyoto Garden was overall an enjoyable sushi night for us. The Poke Salad was well sized for two people & everything tasted very fresh. A very minor complaint is that the dressing was a bit watery & as such all resided in the bottom of bowl versus spread all over the various ingredients. The sushi rolls were good. Once again, a minor complaint, it would have been nicer if a bit more of the unique sauces central to each one was used or present on the plate. Presentation was good, flavor was good, & service was good. The only thing I can't recommend is an Old Fashioned cocktail, the drink showed up nearly clear & no where near how an Old Fashioned should taste. We will most likely visit Kyoto Garden again and hopefully, they will have perfected their art in all forms. Overall, I'd say 4.5 stars & very close to the last .5 if they can perfect the tiny flaws.

We enjoyed the food we ordered. It was very tasty and delicious. The service was good. The atmosphere was very nice and not too loud. The restaurant was very clean. We dine in, but they do have a small patio outside.
