“Peppercorns Kitchen is my favorite restaurant in Evanston! The atmosphere is warm and inviting. The service is friendly and attentive. The menu offers a good variety of authentic and fresh Chinese dishes at reasonable prices. Would highly recommend the dan dan noodles. It is a must try for anyone looking for a good Chinese restaurant.“
“We traveled quite a ways to eat here since it is considered by many to be a great old school Chicago restaurant. We went for lunch and it was very quiet inside when we arrived. My kid commented that all the songs that were playing were on her playlist so she was thrilled. She had the sweet and sour chicken and I had the Kung Pao beef. Both were really good and the portions were huge. The meals came with egg drop soup which was excellent and then we also had spring rolls which were very large and really good. Service was very good and the food was reasonably priced. I do wish they still had the old neon sign out front.“
