“You will get.a truly unique experience when you eat at The Levee Lounge. The building is beautiful and worth seeing in itself. The owners (staff) are delightful people who will leave you to peace and quiet if you like or talk with you and tell you stories as long as you wish. Their grown children are often around and theyare great to talk to as well. I would say those young men helped restore my faith in teenagers these days. Oh, and they have food also. The food is delicious as it is eclectic. I had a Scottish meatball and minced meat pies that were fantastic.

“We accidentally came across this place while wondering around the Shawnee national forest. I’m 50 years old and have eaten a lot of catfish in my life and this place had the best catfish that I’ve ever had! It was awesome! Everything else about our visit was great too but that catfish is to die for!“
