“Been to Diver Down several times. Nice dinners, reasonably priced. Very friendly waitress, great service. This area of Illinois is very sparcely populated, so not a lot of restaurants around. Diver Down is the best bet within 50 miles.”

“The Food I ate here was surprisingly AMAZING during Shrimp Festival. Texas toast buttered and toasted to perfection with a HUGE hamburger...add an egg...and some really great mildy spicy sauce...that burger was ATE FAST! SO GOOD!Having said that...the younger girl at the bar was nearly impossible to get her attention to even help me and there was only 4 people at the barplus...could not give a tip to the new lady who came on shift because it was SPRUNG ON ME while being handed the food that THEY ONLY TAKE CASH and luckily had just enough. “Its a great little place in a historical little town. The food is amazing! Beautiful decor in a historic downtown building. And they have specials everyday. The meatloaf is the bomb! Salads are great! Love the nacho Supreme, its best in southern illinois that ive found!”

“Great local wine selection! And they have lots of local beer options too. The owners are so helpful & nice (and masked!). Tony, one of the owners, suggested a great wine bottle for us and we even bought one to go! Would highly recommend stopping in (or even staying with them!) if you’re in the area.”

“Their food was absolutely delicious their pizza and jalapeño pepper poppers are amazing!! The service was a 10/10 and the food was a 10/10. I felt really welcome and it was quite and peaceful and not loud we got to eat peacefully and it was clean too. Not a lot to do in there but we were there for the food which met beyond our expectations. 100% will be coming back!”

“I eat here often throughout the month for lunch. Their cheese balls w/ Ranch are amazing, my Favorite. Everything I've ever ordered from there has been delicious. Some of the service is bad just depends on the waitress that's there. There's usually only 1 waitress & 1 cook so take it easy of the rude comments about the workers. They're doing the best they can. I even had 1 waitress go back to help the cook so I could get my to-go order for lunch faster. Small hometown venue. Overall, I recommend this place as I said I eat there often for lunch.”
