“We stopped in for a late lunch and it was terrific! My husband and I split the tenderloin lunch that was one of today's specials and we got an order of tots with it. Knowing we were splitting it they delivered with everything divided on 2 plates, how nice. Tenderloin was perfectly cooked and the breading was crunchy awesomeness. Tots were crispy and delicious. Serving sizes are huge, service very good and the staff are friendly. The daily specials change daily and are always very good.”

“They’ve got some of/if not the best deep dish pizza south of I-80. Their thin crust is good too, bout as good as thin crusts get. Pretty much everything on the menu is good, not just the pizza, I just really enjoy their pizzas but have never had a bad meal there and we eat there fairly often. The desserts are good when they aren’t sold out, they go pretty quickly. And they do have bar area, and i believe serve alcohol, but I can’t swear to that, haven’t drank in 12 years.”

“Love this bar... Good prices on drinks and bartenders are super cool... The blonde headed one is super cool... I don't remember her name and honestly she probably doesn't remember mine... But she had a great attitude and gives great service. She hooked up with some Carmel Apple jello shots around Halloween... They were awesome! Would totally recommend this bar... You just need to like or appreciate country music... It plays in this bar”

“Oh boy! The wife and I popped into here for something to eat and drink while we were in town for some antiquing (if you’re into antiquing this is the town for you!) What a fantastic place! The beautiful woman with the short hair was such a great hostess/bartenender/server! Amazing service with delicious food! We had the daily special but honestly we will be back to try everything else! It was soo good! I’ve already recommended it to friends! If you’re in the area go! It’s definitely worth it! 🍻”

“Finally tried the Metamora location. Would say a 4/5. Always a personal taste preference. I love the Mexican restaurant by Thorntons and I do not like Blue Margaritas- so this one I did like! It’s more like the one I enjoy taste wise! Only two things was salsa a little more tomato taste and no spice - and they used yellow shredded cheese instead of white on the quesadilla?! Maybe that’s normal or maybe was out of white? Just would prefer white! Overall very good and friendly! Will go again! (Prices were a tad different from menu to receipt- for example said 11.99 for quesadilla fajita and receipt was 13.59.) not sure? Definitely try it out!”

“I just stopped in to get some of their own chicken salad. None was in the case but the very nice guy behind the deli fixed me up. He was very pleasant and friendly. I’m picky about my chicken salad and it’s the best! Also grabbed some organic corn in the can. Won’t buy the GMO stuff. Glad you carry that.”

“Dat bar is an old school drive bar. There isnt a big menu for food, there arent 30 beers on tap. It's easy to find a table, and if you're hungry, you can get a classic bar pizza. As long as you approach this bar for what it actually is, you can have a great time here. They have darts, pool, and checkers. Peanuts in the shell are free, just toss the shells on the ground. Folks are reserved, but friendly. Dont expect the newest spiced illinois spiced new England spiced ipa. They dont have it. But if you actually want to hear your friends, this is the place. It's wonderful, but it's not a hip biergarten, it's a small town bar, and be prepared for that. So long as you accept that, and the cheap beer that comes with it, you can have a fun time. Shoot some pool, drink some Busch, and have a pizza. It's worth it.”

“Went to celebrate my 60th Birthday today with my family for lunch, and it was excellent. After speaking with Craig (Owner) he truly is passionate about serving good, fresh quality food! Everything we ordered was worth coming back again. It’s also family run and his daughters who were servers were exceptional and charming. A++++++”

“Was a one person show when I went. Took a few minutes to get the freshly made food from the employee. Everything I expect Checkers to be. Good food at a reasonable price. It's attached to a gas station. So able to get other items when you stop there.”
