Very disappointed. We came as soon as they opened and they didn't have many donuts. They cater to on line orders first and not make extra for there walk in costumers. Highly upset I drove 30 minutes and we couldn't get good donuts

I cannot thank you enough for being able to handle a special request order today. You truly made the day of someone who needed their spirits lifted. The dozen apple fritters were outstanding and we cannot wait to come back again.

PSA…we’ve gotten giant size donuts from Gurnee donuts for the past five years for my son’s birthday. Once during covid they didn’t have the donut ready we were understanding and gave them more time to make it that day. They provided us with a dozen donuts at no charge along with our order. Fast forward to today the two giant size donuts I ordered 8 days ago wasn’t ready. We were told they needed more time and offered to deliver them. No apology for the order not being ready asking if we can come back in an hour which means they completely forgot our order needing to scramble to make our order last minute. Nobody came out to talk to us about the order. This wasn’t our first rodeo with them not having the order ready and at this point didn’t trust them showing up to deliver our order. They clearly are not taking orders seriously when a customer walks in to make a custom order. It was completely disregarded and not a priority. We have been consistent annual customers for years with them for our son’s birthday. We had our son’s birthday party and didn’t have the time to wait for something to possibly or possibly not be ready. Our whole morning was spent grabbing an alternative option because of Gurnee donuts lack of professionalism, communication, and un organization skills lacking. We will not be giving them our business any longer and wanted to share our experience. To top it off my son was born at 29 weeks and was given a 50/50 chance at life. His twin brother died at 11 days old…this isn’t an average child’s birthday this is a miracle child’s special day that was ruined. Thanks Gurnee Donuts!

Gurnee is so lucky to have this shop. I drive out of my way to get these donuts because they're far above the rest of the competition.

When you walk in you know you've entered an establishment that's been here for a while and has endeared itself to the community.

Great donuts mass selection unfortunately they never have coffee when I walk in. Even though 2 coffee pots are there they're always empty. The cardboard trays provided to carry coffee out are very weak and cannot support any large coffees without collapsing.

I stopped in about 30 minutes before they were about to close on Friday and received great service and still found a great selection of donuts still available. Great prices as well. I really enjoyed the Ube cookie crumb donut.

Stayed at Great Wolf & searched on line for a non-chain donut place. Found this gem. Skip Dunkin donuts & drive 5 min to this delicious donut heaven.

I’m not much of a donut fan, but these donuts are amazing! Always fresh, affordable, & the friendly staff is a plus.

Really confused by the positive reviews. The employee was incredibly rude to everyone, and the donuts are some of the worst I’ve ever had. The Boston cream had almost no filling, and the maple bar was more like a loaf of bread with a very thin layer of icing. Normally, I prefer yeast donuts, but these ones were so thick and bready and not the soft, melt-in-your-mouth consistency I expect. The ube donut (a cake donut) wasn’t bad, but it didn’t taste like ube. Strangely, it tasted like fruity pebbles cereal, even though it didn’t have fruity pebbles on it. I love donuts, but I will not return to this donut shop. The donuts are overpriced and subpar.

I haven't been here in over 5 years and what a delight to come back. The strawberry is a favorite.. light & fluffy is my kind of donut. Bringing some to your partner or co-workers is such joy for something good & unexpected. THE BEST!
