While we usually love Red Robin, something beyond weird happened when we took our family out on Sunday August 10th. I ordered the BLTA Wrap. The waitress came back and said they were out of sliced avocado therefore they would be using mashed avocado instead AND there would be an up- charge! An up charge for their problem. I told them to skip the avocado then ...
Seems someone was asleep at the wheel. But other than that we always love their food and drinks and will definitely go back

Red Robin is a usually a staple restaurant for my family to dine in. It has been our tradition to dine here after we visit 6 flags for over 10 years.
Tonight was no different except our experience with this location was extremely disappointing!
From the moment we walked in our party felt unwelcome and like we were an inconvenience. The host at the greeting station was not very friendly. We were told there would be a 10 min wait but it was longer, closer to 20 min. The restaurant was not full, we are not not sure why we were asked to wait. Possibly due to staff , of if so that's understandable our party has no issues with that however there was a larger party who arrived not to long after we were seated and they were seated immediately.
From the moment we were shown to our seat the hostess from the front again was not friendly we had 2 younger children with us and had to reminder her about high chairs , which was requested when we first checked in and we felt like an inconvenience asking for asking her.
They ran out of children menus but didn't communicate it until we asked to order food for the younger children.
Our waitress was kind but not very attentive. There were long periods where she did not come around . We were never asked for refills for beverages or fries. We also had to ask for boxes for food that was left over. Our kiosk was not working when it was time to pay the bill we had to ask for receipt to insure our orders were correct before submitting payment. The waitress wanted to take our cards without giving us a receipt.
My husband used the restroom when we arrived and they were NOT clean and not well attended too, lacking tissue, broken toilets, urine on the floor.
Overall from the moment we arrived to the moment we left we felt like a burden and inconvenience.
This was a very negative experience
Very disappointed and dissatisfied with the service tonight.

Terrible attitude terrible atmosphere management was terrible. The general manager has always been terrible since 2016. What a joke terrible company, terrible location will never go back.

Nestled in the heart of Gurnee, Robin Hood may not yet be the most buzzed-about spot online—but what it might lack in web presence, it surely makes up for in character and service. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt like a well-loved local gem: warm lighting, congenial chatter, and a sense of community that’s rare to find.
But what truly made the evening shine was our server, Brianna. Attentive without hovering, she struck that rare balance of offering recommendations, anticipating refills, and knowing when to leave us to enjoy our meal. Her genuine warmth set the tone for the whole evening.
Brianna checked in at just the right times, with a refreshing sincerity—you could tell she cared. When I asked about a dish’s preparation, her response was knowledgeable and enthusiastic, as if she’d be excited for you to try it too.
In short: Robin Hood in Gurnee might be easy to overlook online, but it’s a place where thoughtful service meets solid, satisfying food. If Brianna’s energy is any indication, this is the kind of “hidden favorite” that deserves more recognition

I am completely repulsed. I live about 20 minutes away from the Gurnee location which is where I went today because I was in the area. I went in and ordered an impossible burger. Got home and bit into ground beef. I'm sick to my stomach. I do not consume any animal products. I called and spoke to two different people who basically told me to call back Monday when the manager is in. There was no apology nor any awareness of how serious an issue like this.

We waited 15-20 minutes for drinks and it was only 4 of us at the moment. We were a larger party but our order came out wrong and when having to wait for the right thing that took forever. The food was lukewarm. The Red Robins was not yum. Do not waste your time and money. There are much better burgers out there.

Our server Mel is so amazing! Request her, you won’t regret it. Food came out quick and refill on both drinks and fries were fast too! Ryan the manager was so nice and made sure we were enjoying everything. Such a wonderful experience. We love coming to this location.

The burgers were delicious and the staff were friendly and hospitable. Will come back again. Try the Madlove burger with sweet potato fries you’ll love it no regrets !
