I bought 3 lbs of Jay’s beef, for a guys weekend up towards Green Bay. My buddy folks now live up there, but grew up Northwest side. The beef sandwiches were a BIG hit. His folks and his daughter family (now living in Green Bay)loved Jay’s beef sandwiches, reminded them of old days. I have dined in at Jay’s many times, first time getting the bulk beef, won’t be the last!
Hands down the best “Italian Hot Dipped” I’ve had in 30 yrs. I’ve been back 3 times since my first visit a month ago. Oh, and the fries are great, too!
Born and raised Chicagoan here. I recently relocated to Missouri and came back into town mid-may. On 05/17/2026 I stopped at Jay's on a recommendation on the way out of town and WAS IT WORTH IT! I struck up a conversation with staff and sang the blues about food in Missouri, they were gracious and understanding, even giving me an extra sausage to store once I got back to KC.
