“Hazel’s Diner Tarot and High Tea April 2024 My daughter and I attended “Tarot and High Tea” at Hazel’s Diner and enjoyed THE BEST tasting food of any High Tea we’ve ever been to. All of the finger sandwiches are on their homemade breads. We especially enjoyed the roast beef, and the turkey. From the sweet things on the tea tower our mutual favorite was the lemon custard filled croissant. There were plenty of flavored tea selections for every palate. And what a fun addition to have a tarot card reading! We love High Tea and have been to: The Palm Court at both The Drake in Chicago and The Plaza in NYC, The Tea Room at Harrod’s in London, Tea at 1024 in Honolulu, HI, and High Tea at The Baker House in Lake Geneva. The tea tower of food at Hazel’s High Tea beats all of them with their fresh, homemade food. You can taste the love and care that goes into every morsel. We will be back again and again!“

Service was fantastic. Woman behind the counter talked me through my decision making process. She was kind, patient and talkative. 5 stars

Atmosphere: kind of a strip mall mext to a gas station. Clean inside and out. No seating inside. Beautiful, well displayed goods. Easy to find and parking is sufficient. 4 stars

Baked goods: while not the best bakery i have been to (I have been to a few), this one had a very strong showing, especially for a very small town. I had a few things. 1. Small bite sized chocolate cake (don't remember the name). 5 stars. The best value and in a small package. Raspberry fold over. Fresh and light and tangy. I really enjoyed this one. 4.5 stars. Lemon bar was very solid but not anything exceptional. 4 stars. Pecan sticky bun was also solid but a little dry for me. 4 stars. A coconut dish that looked like an ice cream scoop of coconut on a bed of dark chocolate. I wish it had a higher chocolate to coconut ratio...maybe dipped in chocholate or poored on top? Other than that, it was really good. 4.5 stars. My friend enjoyed his cinnamon roll and also loved the bite sized chocolate cake. 4.5 stars.
