We loved the food, counter service for checking out and purchasing goodies was absolutely horrible. The three staff members were all exceptionally rude. Oy vey. First things first: the matzo ball soup. It’s like a warm hug from your babushka, only without the guilt trip and unsolicited advice about your love life.

You might even start to believe in miracles. The matzo ball (it's yuuuge) is fluffier than a rabbi’s yarmulke at a bar mitzvah and about as comforting as being wrapped in a blanket made of gefilte fish and shmaltz. The broth might have you wondering if the chicken that made it was blessed...

Excellent food and service. Hands down the best place to get food in Highland Park and perhaps the Greater Chicago Area.

I feel bad for anyone who has not yet discovered Max's Deli. You can't beat it.
