Really a great surprise. Obviously a specialty place focused on performances. But food and service was great. BLT toast app was really special and buratta / tomato appetizer was well done with local(?) tomatoes. Skirt steak had great flavor grilled over wood and tomato / vegi accompaniment was wonderful. Very pretty space that surprises with excellent food/service setting up for enjoying stage performances.
The ambience is terrible. I felt like I was dining at the Holiday Inn! Very sad because the food was good. And Ravinia is magical. The prices are equivalent to those of a 5 Star downtown restaurant and this place isn't even in that class. It needs a do-over.
Firat time here. The menu options were limited. The food was good but I don't feel the value/cost of the meal was worth it. The menu options were "short" but overall a good place for a nice date if you don't want to haul around coolers and bring your own food. Wine selection was great.
