Marco's is a wonderful Highwood establishment! Super casual with very delicious food! I especially love their burgers, turkey club, fries, and cheese curds! Friends have had the wedge salad, and other items - and loved everything! The atmosphere is comfortable and the staff is always very pleasant!

Excellent mushroom soup and I went with the Marco burger, servered on Texas toast instead of a hamburger bun and onion rings. All was very good and friendly staff too!

11/19/22This was our first time visiting this outstanding restaurant, and it won’t be the last time. Upon entering this checkerboard table clothed room, you get the feel of an old country cafe. The menu is simple but complete for many different tastes. Since it was our first time, we ordered their house Black Angus burger and French fries. They were delicious and juicy! We loved the fresh cut, skin on French fries.Whiles waiting for our food we enjoyed a cocktail generously poured. As a treat Marco brought us a wonderful sample of their shrimp cocktail with cocktail sauce and horseradish. It was a jumbo size shrimp and it was outstanding. We’ll definitely be back for their shrimp cocktail. As we drank and ate the restaurant started to get busy, which we were happy to see.Marco’s Northside Grill is definitely a real find, take it from a former chef and restaurant critic.I hear that there is outside seating under a tent in the rear and some seating in the front. This little place should be put on your must try list. When you go there, tell them that Barry sent you.Tap on the thumbs up ? below ? before you leave. Thank you.Barry

You can’t find a better burger anywhere else. I’ve always enjoyed the atmosphere and attention to detail. Always remember to order the cheese curds.

4 solid stars!! The Italian sausage sandwich is definitely something to write home about. Everything else is great. Not good not bad, great......just short of excellent. Thus the 4 stars. I can't wait to come back.

Was not happy with the wings. The menu says extra jumbo wings so I was excited to actually get a decent sized wing. I was wrong because what I got were small winglets. They were not jumbo at all. I only ordered the wings because the menu said extra jumbo. They even have on the online option for wings that says "We mean it!" regarding the extra jumbo. Very disappointed,. I would have liked it to honestly just say winglets because I would have known what to expect.

Marco's is an absolute gem. We ordered take out, and the food was DELICIOUS. Everything was so good that we ate there again a week later. The cheese curds are my weakness, but we also tried the wings (buffalo and cajun), loaded tots, and the black angus burger. It was all super good. Highly recommend!! We will definitely be back.

Wonderful food, we got there just before close and Eileen was so nice, Marco took time to talk to us about origins of the menu. Was a great evening and will definitely come back, highly recommended.

Great spot - solid burger. Owner seems like a good dude. Lots of other good looking options on the menu so I'll be back.

My husband and I tried this restaurant since there were so many good reviews. I can only say we did not have a good experience although the waitress was super nice. Burger was overbalanced by grilled taste and fries were really uneatable and tasted like they were made in old oil. Sorry to say we won't be back.

Marco's is among our favorite casual spots in Highwood. The owner's energetic presence and effervescent personality is a huge draw, and there's a schedule of live entertainment. The food is generally wayyy above average. Marco happily moved tables together to accommodate our large-ish group in the tiny dining room. Their burgers, shrimp po'boy, salads, and various handhelds are exceptional. Ditto the apps and fresh-cut fries. Our only disappointment on this visit was the grilled chicken sandwiches. Thinner than the specialty chicken sandwiches served at pubs and fast-food chains, the birds spent too much time on the grill. Our server promptly replaced a bun bottom that was charred black. My "side" of coleslaw was two dainty ramekins.
