Women-owned, family recipe? Can't beat that! I've often walked by the shop without thinking twice about it, and whenever I do want toffee, it's usually a late craving. But recently, I was able to stop in and smelled the fresh toffee. I was looking for a few gifts for some friends and family for their birthday. The shop is small but mighty, located in downtown Highwood across the street from the metra station. It is street parking, and all complimentary. They have so many incredible options, seasonally and traditional. But no matter which option you get, you're in for a treat. I was able to meet the owner, when I stopped by and she shared how meaningful the recipes were and how her love for making toffee came about. With each bite you definitely taste the love. If you happen to see their toffee potato chips, definitely grab them! You won't regret it!

I'm a toffee fanatic (my wife as well) and Kristen's toffee is sensational. It's up there with the best! The right balance of buttery and sweet but not too sweet. The color of the toffee is spot on as well! Highly recommended! Don't forget to try all of the unique flavors aside from the traditional, they are all great. Thumbs up for sure! :)

Our family stopped by and bought the traditional, the lemon poppyseed, and white chocolate pistachio. Every single flavor was delicious and the texture of the toffee was outstanding! Definitely a treat we will go back for again - for ourselves and gifts for friends.

As I was walking through Highwood, after not being there for quite a few months oh, I passed by my old shoemakers tiny little space only to see it is now toffee Traditions! I had to go in.The family-run place is super neat. Very clean, brand new, sparsely but perfectly furnished. The teenage staff and the mom who owns the business we're also professional, polite, happy, and engaging.The owner share the story with me about her talking, it is her grandfather's recipe! I'm sold, say no more!I immediately purchased a small bag of dark toffee with almonds and pecans and pieces of cherry. The owner described it exactly as it tasted and I was so delighted. I will be back for more!
