“First time Golden Bear in Lansing. The food and service was great. However, when I checked my bank account I was charged $9.98 more then the amount on the receipt I received from the register. When I went back the manager was very nice & helpful. She refunded the $. The restaurant receipt had the same amount. I pulled up my bank account & showed her the amount from my bank. We both thought it was so strange! Maybe the register malfunctioned? Again the manager was awesome!“

“My mom,me and my husband come here often. It's always fantastic. The waitresses r so sweet. We just love,Jamie,Lori,Michelle,kyston,Tina,Angela,. And the hostess r sweet too. We love Sam,but don't know the other ones names sorry. Food is usually on point. We love the soups too. We always get treated well. That's why we keep coming back. Wish they would be open for dinner. We would definitely come back for that being there is no sit down family restaurants in the hts that is open past 2:30 or 3. That's not a bar?“

“I always love coming here & frequently do when I want a good hearty meal or bringing friends. We are always kindly greeted & welcomed when arriving. It smells wonderful & makes us more hungry! We are served a cup of soup (gratis) with every meal including breakfast (their soups are delicious). The staff is friendly & always accommodating. Our food is served hot in generous proportions & for the price (very reasonable compared to other restaurants of this kind), it can’t be beat. Greek owned, the hospitality & food is reflective of the Greek Culture, representing pride, family, community, friendship, kindness & duty of service that is offered to their guests. This is known as Philotimo (pronounced “Fi-ló-timo” [Fee-low-timo]).“

“Looked up this place (to find somewhere near another place we were going). This popped up and looked good so we tried. It did NOT disappoint. Food was fantastic, huge portions and came out quickly. Their coffee is nice and strong (my preference), and the staff was attentive and friendly.

“Now and days it’s hard getting a good quality breakfast for under $25.00. I always order online it’s always ready fast. Always hot fresh and delicious and did I mention the price is under $25. “Always delicious....love there chicken sausage, sourdough toast, French toast ect. I have a gluten intolerance and I dont miss the pancakes w the sourdough French toast option, or just plain sourdough toast. There strawberry jelly is delicious, fresh squeeze orange juice. Oh and there ginger spiced tea is delicious too. No bleached tea bag, actually quality tea....love this place. Expensive but, worth it“

“This is the second time I was at this particular Mr. Stack's. I ordered the Veggie eggs Benedict with the potatoe little cubes. Everything was delicious as usual. The food was served quick, hot and the Waitress was very nice. I heard the Owner was very involved daily. I highly recommend any Mr. Stack's, they get it right the first time. “Fresh coffee!! None of that nasty burnt rubber tasting stuff you get from other places.

Service was exceptional, the waitresses were prompt and I was seated with no wait time.

Pricing was fair, especially for the portion sizes. The Irish plate will have you eating like royalty and is reasonably priced.

The pancakes were fluffy and perfectly done.
