“Best huevos rancheros I've ever had. The Burrito Delight was amazing. The mocha latte was on point as well. The waffle was so fluffy with real maple syrup, and the daily special French toast was a great treat as well. I highly recommend this place.“
“Always incredible - one of the best breakfast sandwiches in the city (I get the pablano/veggie and add sausage ? - which was a staff suggestion). Everyone who works there is friendly and engaging! If they had a yearbook, I would write, "have a cool summer - don't ever change".“
“Always yummy. My family and I’ve been coming here for around 10 years (my abuelita’s fave spot) and always hits the spot. Pro tip: come during the week to avoid a major wait time. Even then with wait, line goes by real quick. Highly recommend there hot cakes and skillets.Vegetarian options: Veggie skillet and acorn and tofu scramble“
“This was my first experience here. The menu options threw me off, especially the French toast flavors. I’m a plain Jane when it comes to food. But the taste!!!! I am a convert. The food was amazing. The staff is friendly and the owner is great. The vibe is next level. I live in the south suburbs but will travel here again.“
“Hands down one of my favorite breakfast/lunch spots in the city. Great food and service. Cute, quiet place. I just love this place and can't say enough great things about it. I drive out of the way for this place because it is worth it.“
“Tribu is a great Breakfast spot! We have been there twice now and have enjoyed our meals each time. Today my Eggs Benedict was spot on. I asked for my bacon crispy and that is what I got. Breakfast potatoes are nicely seasoned. My spouse had an omelette and really enjoyed it. Check Tribu out, we want this neighborhood gem to stick around.“
“The owner was so welcoming, the staff were very kind and attentive, and the food was amazing. We were given samples of the oatmeal shakes, and I regretted not ordering one because they were sooooo good…but I had already eaten my meal. Will definitely be back when we are back in town!“
“Popped into this place for a brunch during our latest Chicago trip. Yummy! Very enjoyable experience!! Eggs prepared exactly as ordered, potatoes had terrific seasoning, and the whole dish was so warm and welcoming (hash)!! Other key takeaways...cute tabletops, extremely clean, and a friendly staff to boot. So glad we chose this spot. :)Kid-friendliness: My son who is medium picky also enjoyed the hash and ate all three bacon slices as a side!“
“Support your local mob front!Food was kinda mid and def was hoping to try some Serbian food but they didn't have any. This is definitely a Eastern european take on American food and it feels like gulag food - reminds me of my time I had a nightmare about being sent back to to reeducation camp. Lady was super nice tho and I wish her the best!“
“How does one even begin to describe the diner? Everything about it is perfect. We’ve been coming here almost every weekend for the past year, and I guess I’ll start by saying that it has literally the best breakfast food I have ever had. No exaggeration. The best breakfast I have EVER had. Everything is perfectly cooked, fresh to order, and so delicious. I’ve been to some other places recently, and while they weren’t terrible, they did make me appreciate just how good the breakfast here is. Also, I’m not even sure how it’s humanly possible, but they always manage to get your order to you within minutes of it being placed. The quickest service I have ever seen. Drive thru speed, but at a sit down restaurant. The staff is wonderful; the environment is wonderful; we absolutely love this place! And we’ll keep coming back! 10/10“
“By far the best food we've had in Lake Geneva! Kid's breakfast was generous, and the adult breakfast options were delicious, as well as filling. Our only complaint is that we didn't find this sooner--we would have eaten here every meal! The service is prompt, place is clean and bright.“
“k bendición, such a warm and welcoming atmosphere! i love that as a spanish speaker i felt right at home while also receiving the best of both worlds cuisine. service was jimmy johns kind of crazy fast and the food was absolutely delicious!! certainly a step up from your regular diner! would highly recommend?“
“Wish it hadn’t taken me so long to try Ahuevo! Really excellent food (we had the tots, a breakfast burrito, and an egg/sausage sandwich), and great service (the owner slipped us some cookies to try too!). Definitely gonna keep my eye on this place when they move to their own space! Will miss them being so close by but always love to support smaller businesses led by quality people.“
“The restaurant provided a wonderful experience! The atmosphere was inviting, and the fries were exceptional, boasting a delicious seasoning. While the skillet dish was tasty overall, it contained a bit too many onions for my liking. Nevertheless, it was a delicious meal overall.“
“I really like this restaurant, good quality, good service, good management ?... The pancakes are delicious ? it's a special recipe from the owner's father and in general all the food is very good, the coffee ☕️ not to mention. God bless you ? and may you continue to prosper.Parking: They have their own parking lot, but in case it fills up, there is also enough space on the street paying without problem.Kid-friendliness: The place is very cozy.“
“First time going here and it was such a welcoming experience! The wait wasn't that long and the food is made fresh! Great prices and amazing tasting food! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND! we got a double cheeseburger and patty melt. THANK YOU TO THE COOK! ❣“
“Wow, this place is AMAZING? Great service, hopping atmosphere, and every single one of our dishes were delicious. We will be making this establishment a regular breakfast place during our Chicago visits! Food ordered was: Breakfast burrito Croissant Sandwich Buttermilk pancakes with a side of crispy bacon!“
“My mother and I had a fabulous breakfast here this past weekend. The service was very welcoming and friendly, the coffee superb, and the food excellent. It's a very clean and inviting space and I know I'll definitely be back to visit again soon. Highly recommend!“
“Tempo is a busy breakfast place in the The Gold Coast. The food is always hot and delicious. The skillets are enough for two meals if you add 2 more eggs at home. The Waffles and Pancakes are delightful. Even the lowly grilled cheese is pretty terrific. Only drawback is that it can get pretty loud inside.“
“Took the family out for Sunday breakfast and we were excited to visit this spot. I was looking forward to the Llpingacho Benedict, which I was so curious about. The flavor was very good and unique with the potato cakes and grilled tomatoes. Surprisingly, the most tasty item we had were the pancakes. My son ordered the oreo pancakes and I had a bite of it. I was floored by the rich taste and texture of the pancakes. I'd return just for those. Before ending this post, I cannot forget to mention that they have outstanding service and hospitality. Check this spot out, you won't be disappointed.“
“This was a great experience. The atmosphere was great and the service was to. I am a person who's experience is largely influenced by the service and this did not disappoint. Our waitress was very personable and made sure we has a pleasant experience. She's the one from Costa Rica, if you go their. The food was very good. I had the steak and eggs and the steak was cooked perfectly as I ordered.I hope they keep up the quality of service because if they do, I've found my new regular breakfast spot.“
“I’ve been coming here since I was a kid (I’m 24 now) , this is easily my favorite breakfast spot ever . The servers are so sweet & kind, the owners are great people & it’s family owned . The food tastes like it was made by my gma, everything tastes so good & since I’ve been a repeat customer since birth ? I’ve tried pretty much everything on the menu already, anything you get is 10/10 . The cream of chicken & rice soup is a must try, any time I’m sick that’s my go to . It’s my family’s favorite soup . I’d like to think that’s their signature soup, anyone I know that has tried it says it’s their favorite thing on the menu .. me included . The skirt steak is absolutely amazing & has so much flavor . The rolls are so buttery, soft & fresh . Next time you’re in the area & can’t decide where you wanna eat, come here you will not be disappointed at all ? the food is amazing, the servers are amazing & you see nothing but smiles the whole time you’re there !!“
“We stumbled upon Flying Saucer while visiting Chicago and are glad we did. The food is excellent and the atmosphere is fun with nice indoor and outdoor seating options. The staff were friendly, helpful and on top of it. This is the type of restaurant I wish I had in my neighborhood. If you’re in the area it’s a must visit.“
“Great quality food with a Latin twist. Servers were friendly and helpful as well. Would love to come back and try other items that looked good on the menu. Also recommend getting the side of fruit. It was all fresh and a good sized portion.“
“Love this spot! Smaller cozy diner, super casual easy spot and great affordable prices. The staff are always hands on, they’re all attentive and friendly. My go to breakfast here:Scrambled eggs with cheddar cheeseExtra crispy bacon with hot sauce to dip in (don’t knock it till you try it)Oatmeal (made with water for non-dairy diners)My husband usually gets the chilaquiles and they’re some of the best he’s tried.Dietary restrictions: Vegetarian options“
“I've been a loyal patron of this place for practically my whole life, starting around 1980. The food here never disappoints, always delicious and consistently good with a massive range of offerings from the expected breakfast and diner sandwiches to my favorite 30 different skillets. And, their coffee is far from the usual diluted fare or overpriced options. It's a family-owned gem, run by folks who are straightforward, sensible, warm, and smart. The quality of their food, the service remains consistently high. They are always courteous and a pleasure to interact with, many having cultivated their own dedicated customer base within the community.“
“Glad we finally tried this place after seeing it on check, please. Cute, cozy atmosphere. Our main waiter took our order & we didn’t really see him again but the other wait staff were nice & helpful. Food was solid. I enjoyed the ham they used in the eggs Benedict & I like my griddled pancake. The gravy for the biscuits & gravy was decent but a bit salty & I wasn’t a fan of the biscuit they used. I’mGlad I ordered it as a side rather than the main dish. I ordered decaf coffee & didn’t get it til halfway through the meal. Street parking was free on Sunday which was nice.“
“Been here a few times for breakfast and it's ok. We ordered the skirt steak skillet and unfortunately it lacked flavor. We tried adding salt and pepper but unfortunately it didn't help much. The service was good even though it was pretty busy. The coffee cup had lipstick most likely from previous user.“
“A GREAT cafe. Food is fresh and delicious. For breakfast, the brunch sandwich (with avocado, eggs, onion and dill) is terrific. The apple pecan French toast with homemade vanilla sauce is spectacular. The Vegetarian omelette and oatmeal with granola and brown sugar are also worth writing home about. They like serving fresh fruit! A real gem.“
“My friends and I, had breakfast here today and the service was awesome. I was seated quickly, and had many items, to choose from on their menu. The waiter was super nice and friendly and checked on us a few times to see if we needed anything. The ambiance was great, the food was fresh and a lot of it. I took my leftovers home. Thank you Dem and staff for a GREAT service. Take care“
“Always on the lookout for a good diner for breakfast. Ran across this one and had to try it. Excellent diner atmosphere with a good menu. As it was around St Patrick's day, I had to try the corned beef and cabbage skillet. Great choice. Food was delicious. Large portion that overwhelmed me. Felt bad that I wasn't able to finish. Servers were very pleasant and attentive.“
“The food was really really delicious. A little under seasoned for my taste. Idk. The service was quick and easy which I prefer. The seats could be spaced out a little more for my liking bit overall we had a good time. The coffee was the best item we ordered.“
“VERY clean establishment. Very friendly staff and great vibe. Food was AMAZING very flavorful and tasty. I went with my sisters for our annual sister trip and this place was hands down the best food we have had in Chicago. Would definitely recommend and will always come back!!!“
“My family and I went today and the service was amazing! There was this friendly old man server who was so kind and always asked if we needed anything. He was super sweet and made sure we got everything we needed. The staff is so friendly and welcoming to everyone. The food portion is so worth the price as well! Definitely they don’t skip out on anything. I highly recommend having brunch here and will be back again with my family!“
“Original plan was to go to The Little Goat but there was over an hour wait, Breakfast House became plan B. Turns out it was a great find. The staff works hard to provide fast service so the tables turn over regularly and it was easy to get seated. The menu has a latin flair and all the portions were huge and the food was delicious. Even the coffee was excellent.“

“I almost never leave reviews, but I order from here way more than I care to admit. I have not been inside or eaten there, I’ve only ordered via delivery, but I have never been disappointed! The food is really good - very tasty, still arrives hot, they are open late, good portions, and not too pricey. The enchiladas and flautas are my main goto.“
“Out and about doing errands and we came upon this little gem named Bacon & Jam. 3335 W. 111th street Chicago. There was a rush of activity at the front door, two individuals with pajamas and slippers on, made me feel immediately like "There must be something about this place" people literally gett straight out of bed to come dine here, oh we must be in for a treat!!! And we were!!!!! Make sure your appetite is on 10, because the portions are sinful!!!! The food was good , we both had Omelettes with generous amounts of meat in them. I didn't see Vegan friendly options though. The service was fantastic , the pricing a little high, but on par with other places which these days run on the high end for a meal. That little container of bacon jam...Honey thats a little mastermind touch of flavor you can add on anything!!!! Yum to the 10th power of DELICIOUS!!!! A small place, with big warm appeal !!!! Stop, eat, And keep it moving you've got 90 mins. Before you get the Boot!!! Honestly you're served so quickly, you'll be done in less than an hour and filled to the brim!!!!“
“1/2020 Sandra is great leading the charge here. Love Gerardo's breakfast cooking! 2019 Consistently good. Breakfast is good. Salad bar and sandwiches are nice. Pretty good variety of food. Good for breakfast or lunch. Sandra the manager is nice. Always working hard and always smiling. Gerardo is awesome at breakfast time. Very pleasant to work with and he is a fantastic chef!“
“My favorite breakfast spot in the city, it's the kind of cozy diner where there are regulars sitting at the counter, the coffee refills are never ending, and the food is not only delicious but almost half the price compared to most breakfast restaurants. I can't recommend it enough.“
“Can NOT say enough good about this place! EVERYTHING was fabulous!!! It started with my breakfast cocktail (an Ecuadorian Canelazo), of which I'd never heard of before. It was DELISH! A little too sweet for me until I squeezed the lime into it... I picked the Llapingachos Benedict because it was also something I'd never had before. And BOY, was it DELICIOUS!!! The chorizo was some of the best I'd ever tasted and the eggs were poached SO PERFECTLY! It was like ART on a plate... The service was GREAT and the restaurant was bright and airy. It was an overall WONDERFUL experience. Would NOT hesitate to come back!“
“I think that the coffee here is some of the best that I’ve had and my friend says that he thinks that they have the best bacon in all of Chicago. The waitstaff is friendly and kept our water and coffee cups full. My bacon waffle was perfect. This is a really good place for brunch or breakfast. You won’t be disappointed.Vegetarian options: They have a veggie omelette, oatmeal, toast and a few other things that I didn’t pay attention to because I got the veggie omelette w/ hash browns.“
“Pete's Grill is the best breakfast and lunch place ever I have yet to have lunch here yet but every time I have breakfast there I always go for the sausage Patty egg and cheese on wheat hands-down, the best breakfast sandwich I've ever had in Chicago,“
“Mr. B and staff family are amazing and know the regulars. Food is GREAT quality and quantity worth the price. Through all the increases in life the prices stayed about the same. Joe's, is much needed in the community. Sometimes you have to wait because it's BUSY but, it worth the wait. You can call in and place your order. Remember to drop something in the tip jug, they work HARD from 7a-2p.Parking: There is free street parking around the restaurant and across the street that doesn't belong to Joe's but people often park there.Kid-friendliness: Kids are more than welcome and there regularly.Wheelchair accessibility: There are tables where you can remove the chairs and eat with a wheelchair. They will definitely accommodate you.“
“Eppel's was packed on Sunday afternoon! The ladies working were gracious and helpful, especially the older auntie with the glasses working up front. I ended up going to collect an order that the Uber courier failed to pick up after 2 hours. They made me fresh grits for the order when I arrived. Everything tasted delicious and home-cooked. Pancakes were fluffy but not too thick, sausage cooked to perfection, grits creamy but still had some "grit" to them, and the crispy salmon cake was scrumptious. I will be back to the classic gem on Roosevelt.“
“I'm from georgia and had a late night with friends. It's tradition to hit a waffle house after a night. Well to all my southern folks this is as close to waffle house your'e gonna get. From the atmosphere, resturant layout, and buildings, it is a nice peice of home away from home. Chunky is a fantastic server and showed us a tremenous amount a care and attentiveness. She brought a genuine aura to our night thats rare in a life filtered by facades. Food was fantastic and differentiates itself from waffle house which made it in to its own experience. I suggest everyone give it a try!“
“Klein's Bakery and Cafe is like a cozy haven for food enthusiasts! The moment you step in, you're greeted by a warm atmosphere and even warmer smiles from the staff. Their baked goodies are pure magic – from heavenly pastries to the perfect cup of joe. It's not just a cafe; it's a happy place where every bite feels like a hug. Klein's is a definite go-to for good vibes and delicious treats!“
“Azul 18, not to be confused with Azul Mariscos is a great brunch spot in the Pilsen area. I visited on a Sunday morning, and there was plenty of street parking available. The restaurant has about 30 tables, but some of the table spacing is pretty tight, so if you have big hips like me, you'll be comfy seating on the bench seats, but squeeze your body in between the tables and be careful not to hit the patron sitting next to you!The menu has some classic items like waffles and pancakes, but their Mexican entrees are tasteful. Everything was good and I would definitely go back! We tried the following:Orange Strawberry Kiwi JuiceMexican Beignets with Raspberry Jam and NutellaMexican Omelette with Refried BeansShort Stack of PancakesChilaquiles with Braised Short Ribs, Eggs, Guacamole, Sour Cream, Pico de Gallo, Queso and Hominy“
“Servers were very welcoming and checked in periodically during my visit. I ordered the 2+2+2+2, with the stuffed French toast. The texture of the eggs were creamy, cooked just right. Sausage and bacon were tasty. The stuffed frent toast was delicious and needed no syrup. Presentation of the food was perfect. I'll be back again for sure!“
“Fantastic breakfast/diner food, though there may be a bit of a line. Baked goods for takeaway go fast. Donut holes come with every meal and all breads are baked in-house.Parking: Street parking is just as ridiculous as everywhere in downtown Chicago. Rideshare is the more convenient option.“
