About Fried Egg Cafe

Fried Egg Cafe is a restaurant that has been described as a welcome addition to the neighborhood. The food is delicious and the portions are incredibly generous for the price relative to spots with a comparable quality and breadth. The shakshouka is fantastic and the sassy eggs are a must have. The corn beef hash was perfection. The omelets are so good and a good value. Everything was fresh and flavorful. The Greek toast came with red onions, even though they aren’t mentioned on the menu. The waffle and pancake orders looked very delicious. The staff are always incredibly friendly and helpful, and food arrives very quickly. The service was friendly, attentive and the atmosphere was welcoming. The staff made sure guests felt taken care of without being overbearing. The waiter was sweet and helpful. When eggs arrived cooked differently than ordered, the manager noticed and quickly rectified the situation. One server was described as firm when stating a rule about upgrading toast to French toast, which set a bad tone. The restaurant is located in the now defunct Francesca's and the sign needs to go. The decor had not changed since it was Francesca's, which makes sense since it's pretty jazzy. It still has that dark wood, comfortable dinner & drinks kind of place, but they're only open until 3pm for breakfast and lunch. The menu was clean but not particularly interesting in the way of offerings, and the addition of a more interesting specials menu would be nice. They seemed happy to cater to lots of dietary needs. It was busy with lots of breakfast goers. It is a cozy, delicious breakfast or brunch spot and a nice addition to the neighborhood, with an outdoor area to look forward to next summer.

The blueberry lemon ricotta pancakes are outstanding
Wow am I glad this place opened. Fried Egg Cafe has been delicious pretty much every time I’ve been, but the portions are also incredibly generous for the price relative to spots with a comparable quality and breadth. Staff are always incredibly friendly and helpful, and food arrives very quickly. I’m always a fan of shakshouka and theirs is fantastic. The sassy eggs are also a must have.
