“I was a steady customer but will not be returning to this establishment again. Today I asked to sit in a booth and James, the owner said "We're too busy to sit one person in a "big" booth. (I was the only one waiting for a table.) So the waitress wanted me to sit at a table. The "big" booth seats 4. The table they wanted me to sit at also seats 4. The only difference is the booth doesn't hurt my back like the hard chairs do. I'm dying of cancer, which James is aware of, I have enough pain I don't need any more by sitting on hard chairs. Well he won't have to worry about being so "busy" to let someone have some comfort he's got one less patron. I'm done with this place.“

“Food is all homemade ... chilliques are so good with red sauce To die for... The burgers are HUGe.... so delicious.... the fries are like no others and I personally never order fries. So they have to be good.... I did substitute the salad for the fries and was blown away how tasty it was... I mean I'm talking salad right!! “I’m giving this place a 5 because the food was really good. However, I do have some suggestions at the end of my review.

I had the chilaquiles verdes with chicken. I’m Mexican and I can say the chilaquiles tasted very authentic and delicious. I had a good amount of food, especially chicken and again it was very good.
My husband had the carne asada and it was also very good.

The owner, Don Ernesto was very friendly to everyone who walked in and was accommodating to a customer that asked for his food to be cooked in butter and not vegetable oil.

My suggestion is that the drip coffee not be $3.99 a cup and that they use the same coffee because one cup was good and the other was spicy tasting.

I would come back again and recommend it.“

“We had a large group just before lunchtime on a Saturday, and they were great about squeezing us in. Our server D was amazing, truly, and the other staff were helpful and attentive, too. The food was delicious, hot, fast, priced affordably. They have a large menu. We had some special diets in our group and there were enough options for them to find what they needed. I definitely would return and would recommend it to friends.“

They are accommodating with large groups, service is great, and best part is the ability to order a wonderful, filling gluten free breakfast! “This was our first time eating at YiaYia's Cafe in Hinsdale, Illinois. The restaurant and bathroom was very clean. The food was great tasting and perfect portions. The waitress was very friendly and professional. We will definitely be coming back to eat here again!

“This used to be our absolute favorite spot. My friends and I would come here several times a week, and we loved the familiar faces on the staff. Sadly, things have drastically changed for the worse. ​We noticed the staff began turning over constantly, and after speaking with some of the remaining employees, we found out why: the owner is reportedly keeping 40% of the servers' tips. Under Illinois law, tips belong entirely to the staff, and an owner taking a cut is entirely illegal. ​It breaks our heart to walk away from a place we loved, but our group has decided to take our business to other local spots that actually respect and support their employees. We won't be back until management corrects this and treats their staff fairly.“

“I've only had breakfast here but as far as local diners go, they're pretty good! Service is decent and I like all of the plants they have around the windows. I don't go a lot but I definitely recommend if you're in the neighborhood.“

“We were here on mother's day, I called the same morning for a reservation for 14 people and they were great on accommodation us since we were a large group and it was last minute. Unfortunately its not big for large groups and we had to sit in 2 groups, which was a little disappointing. I will say that the service was great, our waitress was on point and tool really good care of us. Food was good, scrambled eggs were a little runny for my taste but overall good food and flavors. It was my first time here but would go back as a small group at most 6.“
