New owners, big portions, great food. The restaurant is pristine. The owners are very kind.
The Willow Hills Pancake House was one of our favorite places when we lived in the area six years ago. We recently returned to Chicagoland for a wedding and had brunch with some old friends at the new Golden Century Cafe before heading home. We weren't sure what to expect but we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food, the service, and the fresh redecorating by the new owners, Mark and Sandra, since they took over in December of 2025. Food was great and the service/hospitality is fantastic. The price is reasonable with big portions. I would come back when I'm in town.
