“We stumbled upon The Tasty Biscuit while in town for a wedding and ended up coming back twice—it was that good. Despite a packed parking lot both mornings, we were seated right away thanks to their fast, efficient service. The coffee was excellent, the menu was full of creative and classic options, and the food itself? Quite possibly the best breakfast we’ve ever had. On our second visit, we even recognized some familiar faces from the day before—clearly, we weren’t the only ones hooked! If you’re anywhere near this place, don’t miss the chance to stop in. “The absolute best breakfast skillets in the NW suburbs in my opinion. Large,open family appropriate atmosphere. The food portions are very generous and delicious. Staff has always been very friendly and efficient. I always leave feeling quite satisfied and carrying a take out container for another full meal the next day. I’ve also gone to the Saint Charles location where the menu has a few variations but the same great food and service.“

​I would like to offer one constructive suggestion regarding the breakfast potatoes: please consider providing an option to prepare them using standard vegetable or plant-based cooking oil. Frying the potatoes in beef tallow converts an otherwise vegetarian dish into a non-vegetarian item.
​Naperville has a large demographic of Hindu and Muslim residents who have strict dietary guidelines regarding beef and non-Zabiha Halal meats. Offering a plant-based oil alternative would make your menu far more inclusive for the local community.

“The Willow Hills Pancake House was one of our favorite places when we lived in the area six years ago. We recently returned to Chicagoland for a wedding and had brunch with some old friends at the new Golden Century Cafe before heading home. We weren't sure what to expect but we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food, the service, and the fresh redecorating by the new owners, Mark and Sandra, since they took over in December of 2025. If you haven't checked out Golden Century Cafe, it would be worth your while to do so. Good food and large servings at a reasonable price.“

“This cafe was incredibly nice looking, very new in appearance. There was table seating area, bar seating, and window bar towards the parking lot. It all looked very new and clean. The bathrooms were great, too. I liked the design of the place and the decorations.While I didn’t play any slots, there was people there using the machines and they seemed entertained.I wish the menu was a bit more expanse, there was not much variety and largely simple foods though not many options. Basically a breakfast sandwich, fries, and pizza. A few baked goods from somewhere else. If you needed to get away and have a place to chill for a while, this is a good place.“

“This used to be our absolute favorite spot. My friends and I would come here several times a week, and we loved the familiar faces on the staff. Sadly, things have drastically changed for the worse. ​We noticed the staff began turning over constantly, and after speaking with some of the remaining employees, we found out why: the owner is reportedly keeping 40% of the servers' tips. Under Illinois law, tips belong entirely to the staff, and an owner taking a cut is entirely illegal. ​It breaks our heart to walk away from a place we loved, but our group has decided to take our business to other local spots that actually respect and support their employees. We won't be back until management corrects this and treats their staff fairly.“

This is the former Rainbow Café, now under new ownership, and they are doing an amazing job. The food was fresh, delicious, and excellent quality, the portions were generous, and everything we ordered was beautifully prepared.

And I have to give a special mention to the French fries — absolutely AMAZING! 🍟😍 Honestly, some of the best we’ve had!

The atmosphere was welcoming, the service was friendly, and you can tell the new owners really care about the quality of both their food and their customers’ experience.
