Our waitress, Febe, provided EXCELLENT service—she was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. The food was amazing, coming out hot and fresh, just as we hoped. From the fluffy pancakes to the savory breakfast burrito, every dish was delicious and perfectly prepared. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the staff made us feel right at home. In my opinion, this restaurant should be rated #1 in Addison, IL for breakfast. No other place comes close to the quality and service we experienced here. Highly recommend! “This used to be our absolute favorite spot. My friends and I would come here several times a week, and we loved the familiar faces on the staff. Sadly, things have drastically changed for the worse. ​We noticed the staff began turning over constantly, and after speaking with some of the remaining employees, we found out why: the owner is reportedly keeping 40% of the servers' tips. Under Illinois law, tips belong entirely to the staff, and an owner taking a cut is entirely illegal. ​It breaks our heart to walk away from a place we loved, but our group has decided to take our business to other local spots that actually respect and support their employees. We won't be back until management corrects this and treats their staff fairly.“

“My husband and me went out for breakfast at Pancake Cafe. We used to live in Bolingbrook so it was very close. But have moved to Oswego. So thought it would be great to go back. The food was very good as usual. They have a beautiful restaurant. Lots of stain glass light fixtures. Plus they have a lot of other stains glass

“I visited Buttermilk Cafe for the first time today for breakfast. I am working in Carol Stream and staying at the Hamilton Suites. I decided to try Buttermilk Cafe this morning as a change from the hotel breakfast. They did not disappoint. I had the blackberry brie French toast. Oh my goodness, it was SO delicious. I added the pure maple syrup for a nominal additional charge ($1.79). But it really didn't need syrup. My server, Matilde, was attentive and very nice. I would definitely eat here again when in town.“
