“I love going here!! Any time I am in the Chicago area, I find Egg Harbor. They are accommodating with large groups, service is great, and best part is the ability to order a wonderful, filling gluten free breakfast! Never had an issue with finding something to eat or it not tasty. Highly recommend stopping by.“

“I had made a reservation for what I thought was Water's Edge, but it turns out it was the Hyatt Lodge restaurant. Apparently, they share the same space, but Water's Edge only serves lunch. That was a bit confusing, especially since no employee was there to greet and seat us. So be aware of that. There were only two waiters, which was fine since it was not very crowded, but it took a few minutes before either of them acknowledged our presence. After that all went well. The food was delicious, waiter service was fine, and dining on the outside patio by the small lake was quite nice on a perfect weather day. A table umbrella to shade us from the sun would have been nice, though. I will definitely dine there again.“

“Egg House is our Sunday breakfast spot. Plenty on the menu to choose from. We have had Terri as our server for years and she always makes it a pleasant experience.“

“So I visited this place at least three times with a carry out order and customer service was awesome first time. Second I decided to go due to the good food and definitely the customer service, again awesome. Third, I enjoyed my food as always with recommendations from the young lady ( forgot her name). All three times I was either on crutches or knee brace. They were so sweet they helped me with my food to car an even told me to pull up to place and they’ll have my order ready for me! They were very nice to help me and for that I’m grateful. They went above and beyond. They made sure I was taken care of. So I brought my daughter there and she agree with the great customer service. “We had a large group just before lunchtime on a Saturday, and they were great about squeezing us in. Our server D was amazing, truly, and the other staff were helpful and attentive, too. The food was delicious, hot, fast, priced affordably. They have a large menu. We had some special diets in our group and there were enough options for them to find what they needed. “I have the avocado lotto and it was plenty so much that I have enough for supper. The fruit was fresh and plentiful. The tunafish and cottage cheese were excellent. The patty melt with onions was cooked perfectly. It came with a cup of soup and a generous portion of coleslaw. We will definitely come back here again.“

“I have take out from here quite often as I work in the area. Food is always done properly, each and every time. Monday I dined in and had a wonderful experience. Great staff, solid service. “This used to be our absolute favorite spot. My friends and I would come here several times a week, and we loved the familiar faces on the staff. Sadly, things have drastically changed for the worse. ​We noticed the staff began turning over constantly, and after speaking with some of the remaining employees, we found out why: the owner is reportedly keeping 40% of the servers' tips. Under Illinois law, tips belong entirely to the staff, and an owner taking a cut is entirely illegal. ​It breaks our heart to walk away from a place we loved, but our group has decided to take our business to other local spots that actually respect and support their employees. We won't be back until management corrects this and treats their staff fairly.“

“I visited Buttermilk Cafe for the first time today for breakfast. I am working in Carol Stream and staying at the Hamilton Suites. I decided to try Buttermilk Cafe this morning as a change from the hotel breakfast. They did not disappoint. I had the blackberry brie French toast. Oh my goodness, it was SO delicious. I added the pure maple syrup for a nominal additional charge ($1.79). But it really didn't need syrup. My server, Matilde, was attentive and very nice. I would definitely eat here again when in town.“
