Heard so much about this Chicago institution, but it was quite loud and crowded during the weekend rush. The food was pretty good, and the service kept up despite the chaos. It's a lively scene, though perhaps not the relaxing meal I'd hoped for.
S&G is a classic, if you go here, you must get a skillet, it’s what they’re known for. This was my regular spot before moving out of Chicago, so I had to come back and get it again.
I got the godfather skillet, and the flavors as always were amazing.
Service was extremely quick. You could get in and get out if you need to with a great meal eaten. I miss you S&G 😢

The Combo Skillet is a standout, coming out super fast and receiving high praise for its amazing taste. While the coffee may be average, the quick service and hot, fresh meals, including The Porky Pig skillet, make it a go-to spot for a satisfying meal. The restaurant also features a patio and has a kid-friendly environment, complete with a huge bowl full of lollipops for children. Overall, S&G Restaurant is a great spot for lunch or brunch and offers the best breakfast experience for many.
