“Charming family restaurant that's been around for decades. Excellent food and service. Excellent brunch menu. It's one of just a few good places to go for dinner in Huntley, as well.Parking: Large public lot behind the restaurant, with many diagonal spaces in front.“
“This restaurant defines family dining. The owner named my daughter after a decade of not seeing her... Delicious food with phenomenal service! I highly recommend the breakfast special cinnamon roll french toast combo! THANKS AGAIN ANDY'S FAMILY!!!“
“Good service, good food. Best cream of chicken and rice soup ever! Tuna salad on fresh rye bread. Potato salad was fair. Chocolate malted needed more malt, open faced roast beef sandwich tasted 4 star value was 5 star in amount given. A really good place for lunch. Breakfast all day too!“
“The food is really solid, not out of this world but far from bad.But what makes Golden Skillet special is the fact that you feel at home walking into it. All the workers are so kind and caring, they always make sure that your drinks are full and that your food is made well. The prices are such a good deal.Dietary restrictions: They are more than welcome to adjust and substitute any restrictions, gluten, sodium or even ingredients.“
“I have lived in Elgin going on 5 years. There are not many places to eat around Elgin that the wife and me have not been to.we have been to Paul's for breakfast numerous times and have enjoyed it. This past Saturday evening we were tired and did not feel like driving far, so we thought we would give Paul's a try for dinner. We both were pleasantly surprised! My wife got the meatloaf with mashed potatoes and gravy. Her food was flavourful and she got a nice portion. She was also happy that they had French dressing,as a lot of restaurants just don't carry it.I had a full slab of ribs, juicy, tender, smothered in sauce, and fall off the bone. My new go to rib spot in Elgin! Most places have soup or salad, I got both at Paul's.I would strongly suggest the cream of chicken and rice. For my salad, I was surprised to see they had my raspberry vinegeret dressing, which a lot of places don't carry. My go to place in the area was Village Tavern, not any more! Waitress was funny, friendly, outgoing, and attentive.“
“Had a great experience here! It's my second time coming and the first was middle of the road but this second time was great. Our server was attentive, kind, and quick. We got pancakes and eggs, pretty simple order. The first visit I wasn't digging the flavor on the cakes but they were much better this time. Notable was the black coffee - probably the best I've had at a restaurant... when you don't add cream and sugar, you notice the quality... it was fantastic! Light roast, fresh, no grounds at the bottom. I appreciate that. Parking was easy, we didn't have a wait, and the place was clean. Also, they have a coat closet!!! Living in a cold climate, I appreciate that as well :)“
“I recently had the pleasure of dining at Papa G Restaurant in Huntley, Illinois, and I must say it was an exceptional experience. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and friendly faces. Our waitress, Diane, provided top-notch service and her recommendation of the skillet dish was spot on. The skillet was cooked to perfection, with a tantalizing blend of flavors that left my taste buds dancing with joy. Papa G Restaurant is well-known for their delicious homemade foods and soups, and it's easy to see why. The cozy atmosphere and attentive staff make this local diner a must-visit for anyone craving a memorable dining experience.“
