“The food is really solid, not out of this world but far from bad.But what makes Golden Skillet special is the fact that you feel at home walking into it. All the workers are so kind and caring, they always make sure that your drinks are full and that your food is made well. The prices are such a good deal.Dietary restrictions: They are more than welcome to adjust and substitute any restrictions, gluten, sodium or even ingredients.“
“I have lived in Elgin going on 5 years. There are not many places to eat around Elgin that the wife and me have not been to.we have been to Paul's for breakfast numerous times and have enjoyed it. This past Saturday evening we were tired and did not feel like driving far, so we thought we would give Paul's a try for dinner. We both were pleasantly surprised! My wife got the meatloaf with mashed potatoes and gravy. Her food was flavourful and she got a nice portion. She was also happy that they had French dressing,as a lot of restaurants just don't carry it.I had a full slab of ribs, juicy, tender, smothered in sauce, and fall off the bone. My new go to rib spot in Elgin! Most places have soup or salad, I got both at Paul's.I would strongly suggest the cream of chicken and rice. For my salad, I was surprised to see they had my raspberry vinegeret dressing, which a lot of places don't carry. My go to place in the area was Village Tavern, not any more! Waitress was funny, friendly, outgoing, and attentive.“
“We’ve been to this place several times during our family visits to St. Charles. Be prepared to spend a little more, but it is well worth it. Excellent service, great food and great atmosphere. Kid friendly as well. Love the menu!Vegetarian options: I’m not vegetarian so I don’t specifically recall the options but our family in St. Charles is vegetarian and they enjoy this restaurant.Dietary restrictions: They accommodateKid-friendliness: They have colouring pages and crayons. Need I say more.Wheelchair accessibility: Very accessible“
“Charming family restaurant that's been around for decades. Excellent food and service. Excellent brunch menu. It's one of just a few good places to go for dinner in Huntley, as well.Parking: Large public lot behind the restaurant, with many diagonal spaces in front.“
“Visited here 3 times this year for the iftar buffet. It's was a very good experience all 3 times, mashallah. But I was a little disappointed in my 3rd visit. There were no vegetarian options in your buffet menu. I had a person with me who was a vegetarian and could not eat anything except your raita with fried rice. I would like to request the management to please have a couple of vegetarian options available in your buffet daily. Apart from that pleasant atmosphere friendly staff.“
“Fun place with lots of regulars. Staff has been there for many years even when the original owner sold. Great place to go. Even if you have wait a few minutes for a table, it is totally worth the wait! Go and enjoy! Also try the soup, you will be glad you did!“
