“I VISITED THIS LOCATION ON 06/15/24 WHEN IT FIRST OPENED. I DIDNT HAVE ANY PROBLEMS BECAUSE I WAS THE ONLY ONE THERE AT 7:05AM. THE PLACE WAS THE CLEAN, THE SERVER WAS NICE AND MY FOOD WAS PLENTIFUL FOR UNDER $20.00. SO AGAIN WITH ME GOING WHEN THE RESTAURANT JUSTS STARTED TO OPEN MADE MY EXPERIENCE PRETTY GOOD AND POSITIVE.“

“Senior dinner prices absolutely can't be beat. $9.29 includes meal, drink and dessert and they give so much food, you end up with another full meal in doggie bag. Roast beef is delicious. I've also had chicken fingers which were also great. I like the barn setting too - it's cozy and inviting.“

“I had never been in or even knew about Bob Evans. My wife made me come. I had breakfast. Started off with a very friendly and helpful hostess. Then a server took our order. Even better than the hostess and that's saying something. Tabitha took our order, helped me decide by giving great suggestions. Excellent choices. I ended up with a sausage biscuit with home fries, egg and gravy. It was good. Cooked just right. And did I tell you that I felt like home. I wish there was a Bob Evans in my state.“

“Me and my sister were actually mistakenly got turned around and she was very frustrated with driving too far. We were heading to THE WHEEL restaurant but we noticed Commander restaurant and decided to give it try....We were more than happy with everything. The food was delicious, the service was great and the restaurant boss and cashier were humorous and very friendly...we totally enjoyed our experience. “My friend and I ate here in the middle of the afternoon and we both had breakfasts. Server was very friendly and attentive. Food was very good. Prices were excellent. Chopped steak was delicious. My friend had the french toast. Nothing to complain about other than could change out some light bulbs.“

“Came here on a Sunday afternoon.
From the hostess to the waitress, everyone was friendly. We ordered steak and potato, and both were absolutely delicious. The steak was cooked to our liking, and the baked potato was big and good. What caught our eye was the old Mason Jars used for beverages, large and classic. It was definitely an enjoyable experience.“

“An intimate setting for size. I will say their menu is extensive. You could bring a diverse group here and most would find something they wanted to eat. The pizza I had was ok, I have a feeling it would have been better on a larger sized crust. The fettuccine was good enough I suppose but the Alfredo sauce was sweet which wasn't quite my thing. If I could have done it over again I would have ordered something different. The staff was wonderful which I feel like was really the best part of the experience. If you are looking for a location to eat and don't want to get tied into a set menu this place could help you out in a pinch.

Parking: Plenty of parking for the space.“

“Attended a private event. We had platters of cottage cheese, coleslaw, and beets to share. I really liked the coleslaw, it was not creamy style. Everyone was served the same plated meals of fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and veggies. I really liked the light, crispy, coating on the chicken. Not greasy at all. I only ate one piece and they provided boxes to take home the rest.“

“Food is usually pretty good here. Service during the day is good but if you go in late at night, just be prepared to wait 30+ minutes for your check or Togo boxes. Portion sizes are decent. Nice selection of desserts in the front. Bathrooms are taken care of pretty well.“

“Far from the madding crowd of Chicago, we hit this restaurant on our way out of Chicago back to Pennsylvania. It was nice not to have to fight traffic/ parking in Chicago. And the food was excellent. I would highly recommend it if you're making an early break from the Windy City!“
