“We come here from a western Chicago suburb because the food has always, always been great. My husband loves the frog legs and I love the perch, the best perch I’ve ever eaten, truly. We came here on Thursday evening, a real spur-of-the-moment thing and weren’t disappointed. This time I ordered the walleye pike & found it delicious. Two big filets of it which I enjoyed thoroughly. My husband got the frog legs as usual; neither of us went away hungry & loved everything. It’s dismaying to hear that others have had bad service or less than excellent food; we have never had that experience in the last 15 years that we’ve come here. A terrific night out! “This place was great before they closed,i dont know what happened but i wont be back.After waiting a little more then an hour on a not so busy saturday afternoon, and asking several times about our order,our waiter disappeared and we had to get the manager. She then brings our order herself and it was pathetic,un eatable. So she apoligized and we keft without eating and went to another restuarant. So after that i wouldnt go back,but i did and turns out they just had a bad day and i happened to be there for it. I'm glad i went back because they have always had good food and great prices and wonderful service and i was wrong to jump the gun on this,they are still good,one of the few in the county,i drive out of my way to dine here,its worth it!“

“It's an older restaurant but the food and the service takes up for that. This was my first time here, I wanted to eat breakfast alone without a lot of noise and this place was just that. The food was nice size portions and the staff was great. I didn't get my waitress name but my food came out just how I ordered it. I normally have a mishap every time I eat out. I will be back. “Great atmosphere, great service and great music. The food was delicious, the drinks were on point. On a Saturday night, where it was busy, the servers and bartenders were still very attentive. I highly suggest for a great night out.“

“The food is delicious (both the smokey roasted chicken and fajitas are enough food for a couple of meals. I always bring half home for lunch or dinner the next day. If you ask, they will give you a couple of rolls/cinnamon butter, BBQ sauce, or extra tortillas to take home with your leftovers). They have friendly servers and management, TVs playing sports available, County music playing in the background, free Peanuts (self serve), small area with video games, kid friendly. The only complaint I have is that I ordered a raspberry margarita and it definitely lacked tequila (if there was any in it, I sure didn't taste it. The margarita in general tasted kinda watered down). I will not be ordering any more prepared alcoholic drinks there. I'll stick to a beer, sweet tea, or water.“

“Great food, my go to spot for breakfast! The half off breakfast deal is amazing. Food is always good but the other night the server Shannon, worse service I've ever had! I understand mistakes happen but I said clearly what I wanted and even pointed at it on the menu. Wrote the wrong thing on the paper and when I asked gave attitude whole time acting like a mistake cannot happen on her end.“

“Haven't ate there in YEARS!!!!BUT did today and it was awesome....EVERYTHING we had was great, potato soup IS the best EVER!!!! Had that and breaded veal senior meal AND the beef hot plate senior meal and was awesome AND the service from the hostess, requested a specific seat/booth with the best lighting to see better and was accommodated with a smile and waitress was awesome!!! Definitely WILL be back again and often.“
