I was responsible for the cake for a surprise 50th anniversary party for my aunt and uncle. Their children and I do not live in the area -- the closest of us is 700 miles away. I got Shirley a black & white photo of their wedding cake, and we spent time on the phone discussing probable colors used. Miss Shirley made that cake look exactly like the one from 50 years ago. It was very moist, tasty, and a perfect match! Much, much tastier than a typical bakery cake. I was quite pleased, and I had many people (locals) at the function come up to me to ask where I had gotten the cake. Several nodded knowingly when I said All Occasion, and they said how great Miss Shirley and her daughter are with their cakes. I was able to get each layer in a different flavor, and because we did not need quite as big a cake as the original, she decorated a perfect false lower tier "dummy" cake. I wish I could include a picture. A 16" dummy cake, two separate layer cakes (serving total estimated at 81, but I think it served a little more), decorating, delivery, setup, etc., all for about $210. I am pretty particular and pay attention to details. Be sure you are careful to write down your exact wishes as you tell them, and then make sure you go over them again a couple days in advance. If you do that, you can rest easy that you're going to get what you've asked for. They were wonderful to work with, and I highly recommend them.

The ladies at All Occasion Cakes are fantastic! They made the most amazingly beautiful wedding cake for us last May (we're talking multiple tiers, shair cases, a fountain... the whole 9 yards!) and it's very reasonably priced! We've gone to them for birthday cakes and cupcakes too. They are not only talented decorators, but the cake is delicious to boot! You would be hard-pressed to find a better cake shop in the area. I highly recommend them!
