“Went to attend a two day concert event there. Was greeted by the Sargent of Arms and later on by the VP. Great group of bikers. The lodge is very big. The bar is huge, with plenty of seating at and around it. Great food, the smell will definitely hook ya to get a nibbler. Nice size stage and dance floor. Very nice lay out. Never been in there, until this event came up. I would most definitely go back there again. Great people and welcoming. Good times and fun. Give it a whirl, and check it out... Don't think you'll be disappointed by any means. Good show guys ?hope to see ya again. ?✌️“

“I totally enjoy the skill of all the wait staff, their ability to inform, enjoy conversation, and do the run down on what the band is like. Owners Tom & Karen are gregarious, fun, interesting people and provide GREAT talented local musicians. The music scene in Wauconda, Illinois is 10 out of ten...bar hopping encouraged. French Martini with Chambourg, an 11 and one drink, my limit...usually. Dancing...FUN! Especially when Karen agrees. Lol. And occasionally, or perhaps too often singing back up to Motown song fulfills my fantasy to be a Temptation, a Top, Little Stevie Wonder, or Marvin Gaye & Tammy Terrell. And yes, the Jackson 5. But there's no mountain higher than backup to a Supremes song, except for a Diana song, or Tina is Simply The Best! But Diana's he PEAK, & so is STRAWBERRY MOON. CHECK IT OUT. “We had the use of Bliss from 1-5 on a Saturday when they are normally closed.
We hosted a birthday party with 45 people attending, had it catered locally, and hired a 3 piece band playing amplified acoustic music. Owner Alex bartended and did a wonderful job. It’s a lovely and comfortable old building in a great location with an owner that has his head in a very good place. We give it an 11 out of 10. Thanks again Alex.“

“Just dropped by for some lunch for the first time and had their famous beef sandwich. By far one of the best beef sandwiches I've had in a long time. Maybe even better than some I've had in Chicago. Everyone is very friendly and you can see they care about their location and the people they serve. Thank you for the amazing lunch and I'll definitely be coming back for more.“

“I love dive bars. Hilltop is perfect in my opinion. Cheap drinks, Great service and low lighting. Is there anything else we need for a good dive? It doesn't smell funky, which is hard to find in the area . Great place to play pool or gamble on your evening out.“

“Stayed there in Summer 2022. Very clean, and even though our room was near the bar we did not have trouble sleeping. Gorgeous sunrise views. We did not get the email with the code so could not check in at check in time, so we had to wait an hour or 2. Not a huge deal. The bigger deal was the neighbor with the F… Biden sign (in her front yard) coming onto the property making guests uncomfortable.“

“Great place! Our party of 5 bellied up to the bar and had a great time. Jim our server and Scott the bartender made some great recommendations on drinks and apps. Watermelon margarita was the best one in the flight we had. The Tequilla Old Fashion was fantastic! Definitely made new friends and will be back often“

“The Port is one of the best more relaxed restaurant/bars on the water. The staff is so welcoming and knowledgeable. A perfect vibe any night with live bands, DJs, and a touch tunes jukebox where you can play your own music. Tons of events during peak season, coinciding with the Island, and the Port even does Halloween and Christmas themed events. I’d love to hold my own event here one day.“

“I visit Johnsburg 1-2 times per year and I always work it into my schedule to stop in for a beer which turns into several. Friendly regulars and bartenders. Random people usually give me money to request songs on the jukebox for them which is pretty cool.“
