Really solid drive thru. The prices can be a bit expensive but you can definitely taste it. We ordered the dude taco, the Cajun shrimp, the Acadiana, the patty wagon, a side of fries, Cajun street corn, and beignets. The burger was great, and comes with standard fixings: lettuce, tomato, onion and pickles. My bf really loved it because the pickle slices are really thick and completely covered the burger instead of just half. Not really a smash burger, a bit too thick for that title. The tacos were really good and the tortillas tasted fresh. The salsa was really good as well, even with tacos you wouldn't think they would be like the Acadiana.Corn salsa was really good, not too spicy and the Cajun seasoning on the fries was delicious!! The highlight of the meal were the beignets. Sooo good!! Crispy and sweet on the outside and soft on the inside.
I've only been there once so maybe my experience was a one time deal but when I got my order, the rice was hot and cold in spots.. like they microwaved it and didn't stir before serving. The taco I got was amazing, the flavors just out of the world but at $5+, it was a steep price to pay.. specially when the flour shell was ice cold. Just seems to me the kids running the place need a manager. Still, I will give them one more try.
My husband and I went to Amigeaux's Sophisticated Street Food for dinner tonight. These are the items we ate. Plus Paul devoured a taco called The Dude and a chorizo breakfast taco. I did not have a chance to take a picture of them . They was gone that fast. He loved them. We also had a piña colada as our drink. Everything we ate was delicious!
First time ever eating here . I ordered the Freddie and it was amazing it was like Puerto Rico married Cajun and had a kid . 10 out of 10
Tacos were great! We kinda took a chance stopping here. I had no idea what they served. Salsa was good lil too much cumin for my taste. But still great. I will go back
I absolutely loved this place. My Cubano sandwich was so good, the cheese was perfectly melted which draped over the meat and peppers. I thought my sandwich was a good size, i couldn't finish the other half. My daughter had the Coco shrimp tacos. Fresh slaw, avocados and those fresh tortillas. I'm the baby of 13 children and my mother made the best flour tortillas. These we're pretty close but mom still wins. The Gumbo was perfect for today and the Beignets were excellent. Perfectly soft and crisp as you bite and soft warm dough in the middle. We will definitely be back. It's nice to have a place with a different menu. Loved it.
My husband and I tried out this place last night. It had an incredible menu and each thing I tried I loved. Same for him. The owner happened to be there when we dined in. He was so kind and asked us for our feedback about the menu and atmosphere. You can tell he and his team really care about their customers and want to make it a cool go-to place in Joliet. I personally think it's a nice complimentary component of a classic Joliet date night.I see a lot of comments about the prices not being their preference. THIS IS NOT FAST FOOD. Not every place that sells tacos is a dollar-taco place. Amigeaux's is best enjoyed while dining in and with one of the adult beverages they offer. Yes they also alcohol, which is really cool! They do have a drive-thru, but I also recommend coming in and enjoying the food and drinks with family or friends. The managers are really receptive to constructive feedback so it's definitely worth checking out and tasting the food for yourself. They also offer catering which I will certainly be utilizing! If you like tacos, Cajun food or New Orleans in general, I think you'll like it! Thanks Amigeaux's for bringing some unique food options to the area and spicing up our usual tired choices. Prime location in the heart of joliet!

We ordered a hogzilla catering box on very short notice and they were very helpful! Our order was ready in 20 minutes, the food was great and we will definitely be ordering again!
It is a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for. These are by far the best shrimp tacos that I've ever had! I also really enjoyed the homemade tortillas.
