My favorite Chinese restaurant closed about a year ago and I have been on the search for a new restaurant who could come even just a tiny bit close to them. I tried 10+ restaurants before I found this gem!! The shrimp fried rice is spot on. Lots of flavor doesn’t taste gritty and has a good balance of egg, shrimp, onion, and seasoning. The crab rangoon‘s are perfect and the egg rolls are amazing! I have finally found my replacement Chinese restaurant!!
I would say China Cook is one of the best Chinese restaurants in Joliet/Plainfield area. All the meat and vegetables are fresh. Give them a try if you haven’t. You won’t be disappointed.

The housemate ordered chicken and broccoli, and the reason we took away a single star, we found a bone in one of her chicken bits. Other than the bone she says it was okay.
The interior of the restaurant was pretty threadbare. Overall a fairly decent place with some good food.
